I think it just adds a completely unneeded, uncontrollable advantage to a team.

DB you've got to admit, home field advantage is a real boost IRL, regardless if it's high school hoops, NFL, or playing halo with your buddies. When it's on your turf, you get more pumped about it.

There is no way to "calculate" the advantage a team gets at home. This will just lead to more problems if you ask me.

simple...

you base it on the size of the stadium and number of seats sold. If teams have a large stadium, and sell out, they get something like +5 confidence and vision. If they don't sell out, and have a moderate crowd, they only get +1. If they have a weak crowd, they could even get a -1 hit, since they're demoralized nobody came out to watch them play. Just somehow turn that into a formula

I like the idea, but I'd rather see a % increase. At higher levels I see nothing wrong with a +5 to confidence but at lower levels it could make a huge difference. Maybe if we could go with something like a +.05% confidence boost.

a +.05% boost would be too low, that would mean if you have 100 vision, you get .5 added onto it so your now at 100.5 Not too many players have 100 vision, and at lower levels this boost would be completely meaningless

however, at lower levels, you likely won't have a completed stadium or sellouts, so the boost would be less anyway

Isn't that what HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE IS!?! Its when the home team has a chance to beat better teams solely because its a home game. Only 6 NFL teams had a better road record than home record. You kind of contradicted yourself by explaining exactly what GLB needs. A uncontrollable advantage that gets you pumped up to play that undefeated team at home.

BINGO!

One more thing. It almost seems every league has one team that goes 19-0 and runs away with the trophy. How many NFL teams have gone 19-0...Oh yeah..NONE. Just because the Dolphins keep ruining the Patriots undefeated bids, doesn't mean they should start playing the game in a neutral stadium, which is what we are doing right now.

Ok how abot this.
+1 Automatic for home games
+1 100 level sidelines sold out
+1 entire 100 level sold out
+1 entire 200 level sold out
+1 entire 300 level sold out

You would also lose 1 for each one of these sections that aren't sold out.

As long as there is a way to balance it out so that it is effective, and not over powered in in some levels. I'm all for it.

That doesn't make it a good game mechanic.

Your wife cheating on you with your coach might make you play worse as well, doesn't mean that we need to add it to the game and it is a good idea.
