What does the team who hosts the game get?
This would be too easy to exploit, too. The richest teams would be able to get the game every year the way you have it now. You would have to add the stipulation that a team that wins the bid can't bid again for x seasons

i dont want people bidding for the super bowl, i think thats a poor idea. i want a neutral site game with a large stadium with high ticket prices to be split down the middle and given to the two teams involved.

agreed....epic. My team hosted league championship because we scored 3 more points during the regular season than our opponent. The cash we got from this is nice, but we didn't really deserve all of it.
