A contract offer with no PM or notification, no communication, just a contract offer, which is super annoying and almost always instantly rejected.

TBH.. that's almost complete crap. I mean, don't get me wrong Schaffer, I understand what you're saying but..

The Market place is WAY more organized, gives you 10x more information (whether or not they boost, how much money they're looking for, etc etc) without having to ask the questions, GOOD GMs and Owners STILL send pm's.

Word to the wise, if Owners and Gms are too lazy to send a pm, maybe you as a player should think twice about going to play for them.

But then you have players who don't want you to pm them because they won't read it anyway, or won't respond, which leads to blind offers.


The Forums right now, are in ruins, they're horrible and they get worse every day, they need to go. Put more effort into improving the market place, hell, maybe make it so you cannot send an offer without filling in the 'character limit' to the max in a "PM Box" with the offer. And, like many times before, if that offer is rejected, give a drop down menu, or a pm box as well, allowing the player to give a short explanation of why he's rejecting.

Improve the communication, without the mess.

Most of the time the marketplace allows recruiters to get info they need before they have to send a PM to a guy who may/may not respond. I personally prefer to look in the marketplace because it's a lot more organized and accessible, so I really like this suggestion.

Also, perhaps the game should allow players to set something up where they only receive offers from teams they've pre-approved. This would mean teams/free agents would need to communicate more before any offer was made and might eliminate the blind offers guys get. It would also eliminate the hassle of having a lvl 35+ player and getting recruited by all of the A and AA teams.

This or add forums for higher levels. Half of GLB is level 26 or above.

Not necessarily true...I posted a few of my players on the marketplace and a number of them are quite good.


Besides when I'm recruiting as an owner I use the search function and the marketplace and I send ads to anyone with a good build at the position I'm seeking. So those guys are getting what you call "blind offers" anyhow.

Have never found an active player on the marketplace. Only see players on the marketplace signing for the biggest money. They rarely read PMs. Half of them have shit builds.

PLFT forum you find the best agents, players, builds, and get your name out there, while having a good time interacting with other agents. In the last 3 seasons I have found over 100 players for 4 different teams in the PLFT including over 40 for my own squad

This is not a marketplace problem but a human behavior problem and lack of communication from the GM/Owner.

Interacting? It's a race which one will bump his post higher or which one will be online at the time and post first. I didn't had any luck as a player there and don't think I'll have as an owner next season.

Never is it a race on the forums. It is who can keep up. The agents don't care who post first as long as you can keep a convo going, and usually means you have an interactive team forum as well, which makes the agent interested.

And for the active players I really only going after 35+ guys since my team is in Pro and you won't find many active higher lvl players on the marketplace. In fact the best way to go about recruiting for me is usually looking for gutting teams and PM guys there and a lot of times they will be interested and acutally respond unlike the guys from the marketplace who usually rather see the blind contract then the PM about the squad which absolutely floors me.

You look at the matter from your perspective (high level players). I must say you can find very good players (up to lvl 20) in the marketplace without the Forum frenzy. Surely can be better but cannot be as long as we have this dual system.
