Contracts should expire at the end of the season. Or there should be a playoff roster deadline, like the real football leagues do.

I think contracts should end after the season. My team went 16-0 but some players left so we lost our first playoff game and a lot of scrimagges. It would be more realistic and convenient if the contracts would end after the playoff, even if a player signs on day 38 or whatever.

+1! Awsome idea and this should get implemented immidiately

The problem still exists...players that have day 1 contracts are being essentially held hostage by petty owners who are upset that they won't re-sign

...hoping we can solve this problem soon.

At the very least, contracts signed during the offseason need to default to Day 40 rather than Day 1.

Day 1 contracts can be destructive to teams, who can't work in the preseason on getting their rosters/DC's/endurance set up so that everyone generally gets at least their 20 plays.
