If I choose an I formation to pass out of, and select throw deep, will I still be in an I, or will switch me to a 4 or 5wr set? Also does the play distance setting have anything to do with me selecting a run?

You'll stay in the I and run either FB Streak, HB Streak, TE Deep Curl, or Deep Posts (I think that is all the long I plays).

The play distance setting, if set to medium, would trigger a different set of plays Pump n' Go, Hook Outs, etc.

Why does the OAI Run plays that you have no input for. I have it set for my qb's not to scramble & 0% chance of running. In my last game my QB did a draw. I even took out all qb running plays. But unfortuniately you have to leave at least 1 play. It make me wonder if the OAI even follow your inputs

I am fairly sure he was probably scrambling then.

I have every play scripted, exactly what we will do. And none of them are QB run. He has run 5 times this season, everyone was a pass play where no one was open, and he was being pressured, so he took off.

I've got a pocket QB and a Scrambling one...how can i tweak it so that when the scrambler is in we have the likelihood of a QB run versus the pocket man. I want QB pocket dude in for majority of passing plays and QB scrambler in for majority of run plays w/chance of QB runs.

Put the pocket qb in te 2 slot, and put him in as TE2, when u wanna use the scrambling qb.

Ok, but you can't use the diagrammed plays correct? It has to be built custom just like last season. There are QB running plays that you can select but I can't seem to dictate which qb is in the game with those. Its just whoever's turn it is I guess. Please correct me if I am wrong though!

now that they added the QB custom slot its even easier!

just for the exact play in the AI you want your scrambling QB
set all those w/ QB Depth Chart 1 or 2 and put the scrambling QB in that spot in the depth chart.
its very simple. if u still have problems let me know i can help walk u thru it.

is there ABSOLUTELY NO WAY
to command a 5WR set?

however, the plays i set to be run in 5 WR formation (pass to WR, either long or medium)
NEVER work. we have never used the 5WR but everything else is fine.

On top of that, we can only select running plays(?) from the 5WR formation in the specific play menu-
so there is no way we can get the 5WR set on the field at all (except to run which ain't what we had in mind...)

HOW CAN YOU RUN A 5WR formation?!?

it shouldn't be hard to get 5WR on the field... we have 5WR in our depth chart, and
have plays set up in the AI that call for the 5WR formation- but it doesn't work... how is this done?

i know it is possible, as I've been a DC for about 7 season now and see it all the time...
but this is my first as OC and I just can't get the darn 5WR to work... :*(

Are you using advanced or basic AI? In adanced AI you can select a specific play to run and which QB, HB, FB and TE you want in the game.

If they 5-wide play is not getting run, then it can be an issue of the order of inputs. Also, make sure that those plays are in your playbook.

When you get the "select play" box, you will have to click on the "WR/TE Pass Plays" button to get to pass plays.

is there suppose to be some type of rushing qb tag for the D Al this season?, will it make your rushing qb useless?, is there a way to still use him effectively?, or a way to counter the tagging?

Am I the only once who finds it funny that the Punt/FG input problems that bort talks about in the top of the OP is what HE has in the "default" advanced AI? So essentially, all these people with that problem only have it because they didn't change the broken inputs which bort himself made?
