Yes, that is the (incomplete) default. I don't know why Bort didn't mention it in this thread.

That thing has caused so many problems, it's unfortunate that some of the defaults were messed up.

First thing anyone should do on both of the AIs is to play with the default setup, explore the options, and review the already set up options.

Then? Delete every input, and create your own from scratch.

If I want a new Input to go for it on 4th and inches, what should I put in for the yardage?

4th and 0-1 yards

Does the Play Distance have to be set to something other than "Use Basic Settings" on RUN plays that have a run play specified (ie Off Tackle) and a ball carrier specified?

Particularly if the "force AI" option is being used?

How can you set formations on offense to your liking? I want to run 4 WR/5 WR sets, but am not sure if I can pick certain formations other than just Pass ratio.....

You can't choose specific formations. Setting the play distance to 'long' should result in more 5 WR sets, though (there are no 4 WR sets).

Thanks, I didn't think I could. I didn't want to 'miss the bus', so to speak, so I thought I better ask to make sure.

I have yet to find the fabled "# Receivers" option. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Several GMs still waiting for the answer..

Having patience, of course, but still waiting..

Its easy, if you want to set the # Receivers, become a DC

Ups.

I am DC, and wanted to set the exact number of receivers while using offense AI. And that's still not possible.

I should read this Forum carefully, since there's "explained" that setting long-distance pass play in AI will cause that your 3WR or 5WR set is on the field.

My "mistake"

Not sure if this should go in the general thread or the Quirks thread but here goes anyway.

I have the following (fictive) play settings for 2nd & 0-3 and 2nd & 3-6:

On 0-3 my play settings are 100% Outside run
On 3-6 my play settings are 100% Pass to WRs

When the play is exactly 2nd & 3, what happens?
*A run play, because it counts 3yds in the 0-3?
*A pass play, because it counts 3yds in the 3-6?
*50% pass play, 50% run play because 2nd & 3 fulfills both critera of 0-3 and 3-6?
*A pitch to the HB because it fullfils both, the AI can't decide and my QB checks down and pitches?

Now I know that you can't put in decimals (and disagree) but I think there should be some clarity on how to make the play work the way you want it to in these situations.

Help?

Whichever play is higher on the list will fire first. If the run play is listed before the pass, the run will be called.

I tested the offense AI at kicking FG. I start at yard 30 it kick FG. I go down in yard 1 yard at a time. When reach 10 or lower it has not input. The FG input is set from 30 to the goalline. Why would it kick up the the 10 and not anymore after that.

what is the big I formation. You can pick it in the ai tactics but there is no (big I) in the playbook.
