I remember someone made an offshootish type of Hockey sim game. Can't remember what it was called though.

It's people like this that ruin it for everyone else. Even as another agent, no one wants to hear their whining.

You need to clear your cache.
Press Alt and the F4 function key at the same time.

The biggest problem I had with this game is that I could never get my friends interested in it. The learning curve is way too sharp. If you want to build an elite dot, you need to know a hell of a lot, and no one is sharing information. I could see that as a difficult business model to maintain.

On the other hand, building a dot in GLB2 seems almost too straight-forward. There is no skill involved. Once you set your player's initial build, there's nothing to do but wait for points to roll in.

Came here to say this. This is actually a really fun game and it's sad it died the way it did just due to multiple bad decisions, but for a new user who doesn't know anyone in the game it's damn near impossible to jump in and be good at

Thats what made the game fun for users in the first 3 seasons, everyone was making mistakes together and there was no model you had to follow to be successful. Then like mentioned, the nerfs and all the adjustments came. Once users spent money to adjust to the new strategy, bort would nerf it and all the users who had spent money to adjust to the old strategy were screwed and wasted their investment in the game. No one likes being screwed on their money

Between all the AI and sim changes, you really had to be here the whole time to witness it and understand the game to be able to play. It would just take forever to teach someone and you can't expect every user that signs up to be that eager to learn

Also all the scripts you had to download on your computer to simplify things would be difficult for a new user to learn.

It was def a combination of things that killed this game off, but I still enjoy it. I also miss when good teams were made up of a bunch of users working towards certain goals. Although I spent an unhealthy amount of time on this game at one point so it's probably good for my school work I toned it down when it became boring.

Random note: One time I meet former Clemson RB Andre Ellington on here. He had a RB on my team. He sent me pictures of himself to prove who he was way back when he was on here. Ill always remembered that from playing this game. He was just a recruit at the time and now he's an NFL RB. He quit playing before he left for Clemson

This was his account http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/home.pl?user_id=40037

Game is not dead. Pretty cool story about Ellington though. Maybe he'll be back after retirement in a couple years.

If game was "alive" back in the first 10, even 20 - 25 seasons or so, then it certainly is dead now.

He never said it was alive. just not dead. This game may be dead for you since Dub J doesn't play and he is everything to you

Yeah dead may have been too much. Especially since I can't see how much people still put into the game, but it's fallen significantly. I think if Bort or whoever makes decisions could get a large group of users(similar to mods but just regular users, maybe pay them in flex for a certain period of time) to kind of branch out and make the game active again might be worth the investment to reach new users and encourage the ones still here to have as much fun as they used to and want to put money in the game again.

Yeah I tried to find some posts from Ellington on the forums but I forgot that Im not associated with that team anymore. I wish I could peak at their forums to see if theyre still there. My pms def don't go back to 2008 anymore.
