We jump on over the second half of the season and what many call the home stretch.

WEEK 9 SUMMARY
-Five of six games decided by 11 or less points (hey, competition this week).
-GLB tourney under way (see below).

DOT OF THE WEEK
RB El Gato Rapido, Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers. Rapido did it through the air catching 11 passes for 103.5 yards and a TD in the RDMS 24-17 win over the Durham Blue Devils.

WEEK 10 PICKS
DIABLOW CIRCLES vs. Rockwood Rollers - Roller beat their big sister so the CIRCLES will be looking for a little revenge - they'll get it...27-23.
Eaton Beavers vs. Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers - Spankers have started their climb back into the playoff picture and this one is big to get a strong foothold to that end...34-17.
Full Perky Tets vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Tets got a big win and look to keep it going against another East power. FPT will get it done with another 4th quarter comeback...24-21.
Durham Blue Devils vs. Her Majesty's Dragons - Dragons played stout last week but still came up short and I expect the same - a solid display but a loss...24-23.
Denmark Dragons vs. Hoodzilla . - Both coming off loses but the Dragons will recover and keep that 'Zilla three game losing streak alive and well...31-20.
Detroit Rock City vs. Bier Markt - BM coming off a difficult loss giving up 24 in the final quarter. They'll get a game from DRC but won't be fading into the evening like last week...34-24.

-Her Majesty's got their first win of the season as we knew you couldn't keep the Dragons down for long.
-Four of six games decided by 12 or less.
-HOOD has a one game lead in the East.
-CIRCLES has a two game lead in the West.
-Six more weeks, lots to be decided as Beavers three games out of the playoffs in the West; Moneky Spankers two games out in the East.

DOT OF THE WEEK
TE Godfrey Sitole, Eaton Beavers. Sitole caught two balls for 98 yards and a TD in the 24-17 win over Royal Drunken.

WEEK 10 PICKS
Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers vs. Full Perky Tets - Did the Spankers blow their load with the loss last week? They'll need to start getting wins and Full Perky isn't giving anything away...31-17.

Hoodzilla . vs. Eaton Beavers - Beavers coming off a big win but 'Zilla is coming off a huge upset. Look for these two to battle throughout with Hood scoring late for the W...24-20.

Rockwood Rollers vs. Denmark Dragons - Something has to give here as the Dragons have dropped two in a row while the Rollers have dropped four of five. Dragons roar back to life...34-10.

Her Majesty's Dragons vs. Detroit Rock City - Dragons coming off a win but don't go crazy with the celebration as DRC needs a win and they'll get it here...27-13.

Bier Markt vs. DIABLOW CIRCLES - BM in the GLB tourney and the CIRCLES in the regular season to avenge the 13-10 loss from last season...20-17.

Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. Durham Blue Devils - Thought the Devils would get the win last week and they came up short but I don't think they'll get the win this week against...34-13.

We keep stepping closer to the end of the season and much to be hashed out yet. The only thing resolved is Rube and dmet getting coal for Christmas.

WEEK 11 SUMMARY
-Two games by seven or less but a few blowouts this week.
-Back to playing our conference foes for the second go around. Some important games coming up.


DOT OF THE WEEK
TE Jordan Davis, Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers. In a huge W for Royal Davis caught three passes but scored TD's on two of those while accumulating 108 yards in the 29-22 upset win over the Full Perky Tets.

WEEK 12 PICKS

Denmark Dragons vs. DIABLOW CIRCLES - Denmark has struggled a bit lately but they seem to rise to the occasion against the CIRCLES utterly dominating the the past season plus. As DIABLOW gets older things are not about to suddenly turn around around...27-13.

Eaton Beavers vs. Detroit Rock City - Beavers shutout last week while DRC keeps surging to third in the West. Look for DRC to hold servce and get a win here...28-9.

Durham Blue Devils vs. Full Perky Tets - Tets were flat (been saving that one) last week while the Blue Devils put up a lot of points. The bad part was Durham gave up quite a few in their loss. They'll not crank it up on O against a stout Tets D...34-17.

Rockwood Rollers vs.Bier Markt - Rollers just struggling right now and are now looking over their shoulder at RDMS. Rockwood beat up on BM in the first game so Bier is looking for some payback while needing a win of their own...27-20.

Her Majesty's Dragons vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - This was surprisingly close but the HOOD was able to pull out the victory. This go around I expect the HOOD to be better prepared and will get a more convincing win...31-9.

Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers vs. Hoodzilla . - I'll mark this one as a break it game for the Spankers. They need this one and I see them reversing their fortune of the first meeting where they lost 27-20...27-23.

Great write ups

Miss a week or two as my folks are in town for the holidays so not on very much. We have three weeks left in the regular season and teams in both sides still have some life left although the East is a bit more murky at this point than the West.

PLAYOFFS

WEST
The top four are pretty locked in with the CIRCLES, Dragons, Rock City, and Tets although officically the Beavers are still in it but the Tets would need to drop three in a row and they'd need to win out and beat the Tets this week by more than 17. Seems like a duanting task.

EAST
Five teams still alive and battling for seeding among the others. This race should come down to the wire and the big game could be next week as the Rollers take on the Monkey Spankers but each game coming down the home stretch will be big for many teams.

WEEK 14 PREDICTIONS

Denmark Dragons vs. Durham Blue Devils - Dragons need to keep winning to host that first round game. They'll get it but the Blue Devils won't go down quietly...34-24.

DIABLOW CIRCLES vs. Detroit Rock City - CIRCLES have played well but get weaker. They'll have enough in the tanks to beat up Rube and Co. one last time...24-23.

Eaton Beavers vs. Full Perky Tets - Tets need a win to close down the Beavers playoff hopes and they'll do just that this week...34-17.

Hoodzilla . vs. Bier Markt - Was close the first meeting with BM winning by 10 and they'll do the same thing this go around...30-20.

Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers vs. Her Majesty's Dragons - RDMS simply needs to win and they'll do that this week as they blanked the Dragons the first time they met...27-6.

Rockwood Rollers vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - A big one for the Rollers but the HOOD are in the mood for a little revenge after losing the first meeting between the two...27-20.

WEEK 14 SUMMARY
-Not sure we're any closer on the playoff watch. Thought we'd be golden in one conference.
-Upset of the week as Eaton kept their hope alive with a 27-19 win over the Tets.
-Two games decided by eight or less points.

PLAYOFF REVIEW
FB Don Rocha, Eaton Beavers. Rocha was instrumental in the 27-19 win over Full Perky with five rushes for 87.5 yards with two TD's.

EAST
-CIRCLES have locked up the overall number one seed.
-Denmark is locked and loaded in the two seed.
-Detroit is locked into a playoff spot.
*Tets need to win one of two games to lock it up.
*Baring a miracle Eaton is out and I'm not sure if the Tets lost both games (DRC and the CIRCLES) if they would get in if they won both (the head to head is split and the Tets won by more).

WEST
-HOOD and 'Zilla are both locked in but 'Zilla could still grab the number one spot as each plays in week 16.
*BM will need to win one of the last two or need the Rollers or RDMS to lose both. Lot of outs for the struggling BM squad.
*Rollers and RDMS are both 6-8 and the huge game between the two this week. Rollers own the tie breaker over BM and so does RDMS but they've only played BM once with what could be a huge week 16 game with the two for a possible playoff spot (hey, at least I can swap BM out with the CIRLCES if it comes down to it).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK


WEEK 15 PREDICTIONS
Denmark Dragons vs. Eaton Beavers - Dragons head into the final week with a win over a Beavers team that came close but just fell short to the four veteran teams...38-17.

Durham Blue Devils vs. DIABLOW CIRCLES - CIRCLES won big when they met in week one but this one will be closer than the 97-41 score of week one...34-20.

Detroit Rock City vs. Full Perky Tets - It's like these two teams are fighting for fourth to play the old Cirles - bad strategy. Tets will win here...24-20.

Her Majesty's Dragons vs. Hoodzilla . - Zilla should coast to an easy win here...35-0.

Bier Markt vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Markt having one of their worst seasons in recent memory and they may need to split one of the final two just to make the playoffs. HOOD lays off due to the upcoming GLB tourney title game...24-23.

Royal Drunken Monkey Spankers vs. Rockwood Rollers - This one could very well be for a playoff spot as both are sitting tied with two games out. RDMK has the tougher week 16 game but both need this one to control their own destiny. I'll go with my projection of RDMK making the playoffs...31-27.
