Good for you! I've noticed that the exercise has a real cardio element to it in that the act of clearing all 54 cards within that time period means your heart rate will be elevated for the duration of the work.

but larry if you are looking for other pushup style things to do to switch it up.....

im not sure what the actual name of them is, but we call them sun gods at work.

say you go to 10... you do 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

then you basically keep going to a higher and higher number as time goes on

and 1 rep is 1 pushup, then go to your knees (giggity) and raise hands straight up in the air above your shoulders. edit: oops but for each number, you do the pushups first then hand raises so youre not going back and forth.

I'd appreciate your feedback. I'm not sure yet what to make of it. I know I'm getting a workout from it, but when I'm done (and for the next day) my arms aren't "rubbery" like I'd expect them to be from doing more than 400 pushups.

I pretty much quit doing this.

I hit all of the benchmarks, then hit them all with elevated pushups...then gradually kinda just stopped doing it.

Pushups get pretty boring. Went back to one arm dumbbell bench pressing, I like the deeper burn of heavy weights rather than the cardio burn of hundreds of reps.

I workout in our warehouse during my lunch break, a co-worker and I did a Deck of Cards challenge.

It was a 20min cap, we did it as a team.

Spades: Pullups
Clubs: Burpees
Diamonds: Hang Clean (95#)
Hearts: Fronts Squat (95#)

Face Cards =10, Aces =11, Jokers = 400m run together

It was a gasser
