The VPB was just a means of simulating Bort's own system by advancing the days quicker.

I don't think another user would have IP in a GLB day-to-day simulator. So long as Bort did his own coding and built his own interface, it wouldn't matter.

Besides, who says that you would even need to advance the players to L79 using the old method? It would take a pretty long time to advance through it for 55 players... you could just award 1400 SPs to everyone and have them go nuts. Or give everyone 700 SPs and have some preassigned based on which Archetype you chose.

ummm, that's exactly my point. the dominant teams/groups would have an even easier time staying put if current structure stayed as is and i79 put in place, hence the rest of my post

I like building players over the course of time and watching them develop, that's part of the appeal... In this world of instant gratification, we all want to go straight to the end game, eh? Don't you have to level up and gain attributes and buffs in just about any game worth playing?

I agree but I also think there's a variation that WOULD work. We already know they (GLB) can make changes to speed up the process (the switch from the original system to what we have now is proof of that) so simply doubling the number of everything would cut the build process in half while still keeping a semblance of the league system in place. Even Peewees would benefit from this, IMO. Nothing wound need drastic changing since the system in place would be the same... just everything doubled.

I won't be one of the people jumping on the Instadot bandwagon unless there's a significant discount, which we all know there won't be.

so just to make it easier, say we have our current dots for 10 seasons from rookie to decline. you wouldnt pay the same price to have a lvl79 dot for 10 seasons instead?

Myself I would go for the instant dots but I would probably start my dot at day 200 or so if it was going to happen. I really wouldn't care to much to keep a dot at level 79 for 10 seasons that to me would get kind of boring also.

I did like the idea that someone mention about making a instant dot with lower cost at the beginning then charging every season you keep him though.

The current system could be kept even if the new system happened.

10 seasons of lv 79 dot would be too much though, probably would have to limit it to a 6 or 7 season max and the last season would be almost no flex returned on retirement.

How about it costs the same amount and we don't get any flex back once we retire? That'd get bort some profit.

what I wouldn't do is pay that much for five seasons of plateau only
