this argument is just plain silly......glb classic needed more development, adaptation and evolution for it it to maximize its potential.....instead of that happening, the game was lifted from its beta status and development was stopped. This is obviously evident from the creation of glb2 which for whatever reason was introduced and only further polarized the user base.
When I indicated that WGG had "thrown in the towel" it was in regards to the progress of this game. No progress is being made now or has been made in several years. Simply put the light switch has just not been turned off yet.
Now if you imagine all the people like myself who invested a significant good deal of money to play this game are a bit disappointed (and deceived) that this game was abandoned in favor of other games including a direct competitor that still falls way short of where it should be.
Personally I think its fair to call a spade a spade.
Ahh, yes, the vague concept of The Game's Potential. Won't somebody please think of the game's potential!! http://youtu.be/RybNI0KB1bg
But to be serious, I'm sorry that you're disappointed with our games so far. But "deceived"? What precisely do you feel that you've been deceived about? I might be wrong, but I don't think we ever said we were never going to develop other games, or that there would be substantial changes made to GLB1 forever and ever and ever. GLB1 is still around, but at a certain point we do have to work on new projects too. It's a nice idea that we could just make this one game and never have to do anything else, but... that's not really the way it is.
ON THE PLUS SIDE, though, I think at least of few of you guys are going to dig the new one. More info on that pretty soon...
