And I agree with you, but this is completely irrelevant to his point. The way they're completely ignoring GLB right now should concern anyone who drops money on their other projects.

I don't know why anyone would be "concerned". The game left beta. They didn't shut it down. Like I said if GLB2 happens to take up another 5 years of my life, that's great. I am hardly going to be mad at the developers for moving on to other projects after years of service. And like I said that doesn't mean it doesn't sadden me to not see anything new for this game, but that isn't going to have any hand on my future purchases for other games.

You come to a conclusion like the one he is making after a business burns you repeatedly. If GLB lasted a year and Bort said fuck it I am gonna try something new and then went on to that project and did the same thing, that is when you should be concerned. You don't say after 5 years of developing a game and leaving beta, that you are concerned about future projects burning you. That is just silly. It isn't like GLB1 is some crappy unfinished product either. It is a well played game. It has just been wore out to death.

They clearly abandoned it. Stop repeating the 5 years thing because it's irrelevant. Warrior General hasn't shown the inclination or ability to manage two separate games. The only time they've had two games, the older one got completely ignored. If that doesn't concern you regarding investment in GLB2 (if you have bought any flex for GLB2), then you're being foolish.

5 years is absolutely relevant. The enjoyment I have had over that investment is absolutely relevant. And it doesn't concern me at all. I never expected to still be playing this game at this point in time. I never expected GLB would still be around at all. Being as that my investment of any flex covers any and all games Warrior Games has to offer, i don't know why anyone would be concerned. It really just doesn't make any sense. Investments are what you get out of it. I have always been happy with my investments here.

5 years isn't relevant because it's not going to be that long before WG releases another product. The only thing we've seen so far when WG has more than one product is for the older product to be completely abandoned.

That's just speculation on your part. Regardless comparing the two situations is stupid. Corndog has never touched glb1's code and glb is nowhere near leaving beta.

You only further my point to why you shouldn't be concerned as well.

Why do "5 years" concerned?
When you still sell a product, and you say you still care it, you should do some thing matching your words.
And do we see that happen?

There's a lot of games on the market.

A lot of those also aren't receiving constant updates.

I'm not swearing off From Software because they are no longer updating Demons Souls. I'm sure they still care and want people to play Demons Souls, but it's just not realistic to have a team of people working on every product indefinitely.

Speaking of Demons Souls, that game came out a year AFTER GLB.

It has had TWO "sequels" in that time.
