Not sure yet. Sort of forgot about it while running that build through. It shouldn't be too hard to push it to 40 or so.

This is one of the few areas I believe I can offer some very solid advice, as one of my best players is/was a special teams gunner.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2301535

Started playing gunner full time in season 28. Seasons 30-34 he played with Asau in World League and had some very good success, even in season 34 when he was declining.

When I hit plateau I had strength at 92.1 and tackling at 94.1. In retrospect I wish I had neglected agility a bit to push tackling and/or strength a bit higher.

I understand your point about the higher weight but I have a feeling tackling may play a larger role then we think for FF's. That, and the fact that I couldn't pass up Speed/Strength/Agility/Tackling as majors from the combo SS position.

I'm sure that if I were to build him again I would be more efficient across the board.

Weight has to be the factor from what I've seen.

The main gunner on GROWL has roughly the same build as the dot linked by jesusmp. He's only had 5 FFum's this season but that is probably because of his weight.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2251727 or maybe its just a random thing, lol, heres my older STOP, which is a tad lower in all attributes to my old one, but yet put up better numbers even on wl(not great) , but several none the less. He is slower. Its probably tackling/weight more of a factor than str.

I've seen plenty of low weight fumble forcers, including mine that I posted before. Any extra weight bonus to forcing fumbles is probably negated by the extra speed from being lighter, since speed at collision is a major factor in forcing fumbles. A lot of it has to do with how you're used (what spot are you running out of and how does the rest of the coverage team affect your opportunities), and then X-factor. I see the same thing with pancakes for OL. I can't explain why some dots seem to naturally perform better than others even if their attributes are uniformly lower.

Because Closing Speed doesn't even apply until the returner has the ball, at which point you're probably too close for it to trigger anyway.

No way, FF is the main reason your making this dot to begin with. That being said im using both on my next gunner. CS shuts off within 6 yards also so it really doesn't effect FF's but it will help get into position.

I dont think that leads to more fumbles. I dont think the gunners have a problem getting to the ball carrier its forcing the fumble. Altho judging by some of the builds , its just a random thing or as bollick said "x-factor"

I'm taking closing speed in conjunction with head hunter.. Stack as many tackling SA's as possible as well.. +2 strength tackling here or there wont make the same difference some of these SAs will

This^^^ is correct. It's not a completely worthless... it's just that, in the hierarchy of SA's and VA's, it's just too low on the totem pole of better abilities you could/should have.
