Ya they made new leagues all through season 1 and plugged in teams as people signed up. Then after that mini season they rearranged people all over to whatever hemisphere they wanted. Most people went to USA as that was going to be the most challenging bracket having been the first league with all the highest leveled guys.

I kind of recall that , played for Long Island Ice Tea in Oceania Pro , then about 5-6 seasons later ended up back in Oceania Pro with another dot. Then played in Pro one more time for comicfanman on one team and the Laos Pongers on another and have never been back since lmao. Keep killing my dots.

Ya we started in South America AA or whatever and got moved over to USA A#4 the next season because we wanted to work from the ground up in the hardest division. Which not long after wasn't even the ground as they brought in the BBB leagues.

BBB leagues were pretty fun imo. Some of these guys missed a lot of fun back in the day. Trash talk galore in league forums , trading exploits galore , EQ wars , hating in your own teams forums because you didn't get EQ. Ahh good times

I think the trading stuff was the best , you'd have played a team and two days later the whole roster was gone.................to another team LMAO

So you're saying it was okay to promise equipment when recruiting a dot and then after they signed with you tell them they're not getting shit unless they sign another contract for 3 seasons?

To be fair that's just the way the game was back then , teams did it all the time. I never did it to anyone but it was there. That's pretty much where the flip side came of playing on relaxed and removing whatever EQ you did have already and the lying about how much cash you had just in case you moved on so it wouldn't happen again. Like I always say , end of day it's not about the team as much as it is about the money you pay to make a player no matter if you admit it or not. There was a lot of grief but it was part of the game then.

im saying that it is fair enough to expect a player to stick around for more than a season if you are gonna shell out the money for his equipment.

Me, I just traded for high leveled guys who were stuck in long term contracts and made them stay on my team.

Hmm gosh

First thing I remember is wondering where the heck the rules to the game were. Still wonder that today. Then I said okay guess I'll wing it....

I came over with people from another game. They were already in place, I built a dot and screwed it up and immediately retired then built another one, Red McKee, and joined the Avondells Raiders midstream in season 1, Day 20. Got in six games that season.

Decided that was very boring very quickly though, and went about buying a team, also during season one. The OffTopica Forumites I called them as the OTopic Forum of the other game is where I met the guys I came here with. Then came picking a league. Oceania was the closest to the front of the list league with the highest tier still open.....

I miss the old days. Signed up and built a dot on Day 18 of season 1. LB was immediately signed to the Las Vegas Freebirds owned by Frank Booth who I believe is still around.

Things I miss:

- Teams looking for players forum was loaded with "Need all positions, game in 3 hours"
- Being a starter was incredibly important.
- Had to have max salary. no way I would accept less
- Teams were in such need of players that if you had a FA, you would at least 70 offers. It was just overwhelming.
- Training was way different
- The team forums were actually busy'
- OC and DC would post tactics before each game instead of once a season
- You were excited when you team finally was able to cut all their CPU's
- Bort actually posted in the forums regularly

Ah, the memories!!
