I officially hate this season's sim. Passing is FUBAR. I had a lot of success last season and my teams were attractive destinations for stat-seeking receivers. This season, my teams can;t complete a pass for shit (unless it is to the other team).

Last two scrims in NA Pro our QBs went 13/49 and 21/55. In these two games we threw NINE picks. Ive already spent way too much time trying to stop the bleeding. I've changed progressions to target shorter/intermediate routes more frequently. I've asked the QBs to throw early and often. We're checking down often. I bumped up screens. Running out of ideas.

At this point I'm trying to decide if I want to invest any more time or just say "fuck it."

I'm leaning toward the latter.

Yeah, I'm mad bro.

You obviously have terrible QBs ...

holy hell gettin a little overdramatic about the issues arent we?

Hurries are a bit overboard due to the silly way pass protection currently works. That is resulting in lots of bad throws. Particularly hurting the short throws which is actually pretty pathetic. Thus short throws are still pretty lol and not really worth putting in a gameplan.

+1

CBs are winning a very high percentage of 1v1 situations this season as well when the QB can actually get a pass off without it being a bad throw, screens are better but still very easy to shut down, a decent defense has no problem getting hurries on the QB in this sim and that seems to happen on at least 50% of passing attempts, the passing game looks like shit this season imo.

OK, 2 games in and N America now has 4 teams with 60%+ completions. There are 16 teams that are under 40%. That cannot be working as intended, right?

Pacific has 3 teams with 60%+ and 10 teams that are under 40%.

I agree something had to be done about "chuck it deep and pray" offenses but I am pretty sure that "the fixes" swung the pendulum too far the other way.

defense got a boost, much needed if you ask me. The reason why select teams are able to pass better is they have either

A. already identified the exploit plays
B. have really well built QBs/WRs/TEs
C. have a really good OC
D. all of the above.

if certain teams can pass greater than 60% and others can't, then it's obviously a build/tactic issue.

if NOBODY was able to pass for 60% that is when I would be concerned.

well that's my opinion anyway. and when my team sucks I don't blame bort, I blame Brian

I just think that the elite 3-5 teams should be closer to 70%. Also keep in mind the teams completing a higher percentage may be screen-spamming.

Sixteen teams under 40% just screams that there is a problem. Have sixteen teams failed to make adjustments based on preseason games and two regular season games? I doubt it.

I agree, they swung it too far in favor of defense yet again, I for one am fucking sick of seeing every game being 14-10 in the intermediate levels when two evenly matched teams play, it should be possible for a WR to win a few 1v1s on occasion. Struggling to put up 200 yards in every competitive game is in no way fun
