Q1 -- It was stated "It should make coordinating easier"? How does this really make Coordinating easier ?

That will NOT make it easier.. sorry.!! It will just add another piece to the job. Also, didn't answer the question.

Here is the problem as I see it ... flame me if I am not 100% correct ... whatever.

Here is a QB I created for one season (pee wee) ... assume for argument sake he played this year (even though he played in season 8).

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1257703

When I rolled him, these skills were at minimum: jumping, carrying, catching ... all at 10.

end of season, he went up 2 in each category ... from leveling.

... the Archtype S15 QB ... wouldn't have meaningless points dumped into jumping, carrying, catching for a Pocket Passer.

So, his core attributes would be more efficient.

The S12 and S13 QB would be even more inefficient (older, yes ... but still a "bad" build relative to the new ArchType ... even better jumpers ... lol).

... so, it just seems to encourage everyone to retire all their S12-S14 created players? Why not total reset while we are at it?

Only reason to keep say a S14 QB is for bragging rights to say my QB can jump higher than your S15 QB?

...... another example would be HB (getting points in throwing, etc.)

Seems like at some point the core attributes of the S15 player will catch up to the S14 player? Thus making the S14 player a dud at that point (because they are a year older)

I haven't done the exact math but of all the cases I would think that s14 players are the ones that would most likely be the ones that should weight retiring. s12 and s13 players I think will be more than fine but I can definitely see where s14 players would be at a potential disadvantage at the later portion of their career.

Penalty SA's - Get Low, Pancake

Looks pretty similar to me with the exception of swapping Confidence/Strength as minors.

Exactly. Now, tell me--what types of players are going to be covering those builds? WRs will draw CBs, but TEs will draw LBs (who will have little chance against these uber-builds) and Safeties. This TE archtype is over-powered by definition--there's no penalty to the build for selecting it since its being handed everything it will need to be dominant in its chosen role.

If you're >120 days old, it's the normal return.

So the archetype will be explicitly stated on the player's profile for all to see? I thought it would just be private knowledge (other than observation of how he is used).

Maybe the coverage LB who has speed, agility, and vision as majors as well as Swat Ball?

Are there any general ideas of archetype-specific SAs? Also, I read that those SAs won't be available in the AEQ store, but have you considered making them available in the store of those specific archetypes? This would mean that only Scrambling QBs could get the Scrambling QB SA in the store, and Deep Passer QBs could not.

yea but then he looses out of 1 season of the new ALG which is pretty much a big
deal on early levels..so it doesn't benefit him at all..*1 season is like 10-14 Levels
of ALG*

*Level 1 Players

So again i feel i would be farther ahead rebuilding from scratch because i loose out but i dont feel i should have to lose 4400 in total flex for CE i purchased to be used next season

no play making CB arch type?

only recently have people really started asking questions and being inquisitive about building CBs for blitzing and hard hitters... there have always been questions as for how to build an INT machine.

bonus to sticky hands and superior vision? penalty to shut down coverage and swat ball? majors: vision/agility/catching/jumping? minors: speed/stamina/confidence/tackling? or maybe take out confidence and add in strength (less confidence for more of a morale hit if you miss a play for more of a risk, but be rewarded by a higher tackling score and possibly more FFs?).

If I have a DE thats 41 days old now, should I just retire him when possible?

Why do powerbacks get catching and vision as minors? I'd gladly give up both of those to make speed a major attribute.

Not yet - I'm going to create a Suggestions thread to get the initial ideas and then we'll refine and pick based upon which ones we like best and think will work best within the game. I'll do that soon.

Not going to make them available in the store though, even for the specific archetype.

Lol, not another piece,,...... Just top dcs will not be able to save time due to the fact that if you want the right defense on the field 100 % of the time you need to scout everything regardless of what archetype is on field.

Ex combo hb
strong I slam
strong I pitch right
wr skinny post hb/fb/bte max protect

not rly gonna be able to sell out for 100% certainty bc of an archtype without hours of scouting...
