The main problem I encountered at the end of the season was other teams playing entirely run defense. Our team was very heavy on the rush. You will notice during those games our passing got a pretty good showing though.

This is more a tactics and proper game planning issue.

maybe...

iunno, he's just too slow for me but he seems to be working, so why fix something that's not broken, right?

That I can agree with. I have some plans to make him more like a freight train and less like a dump truck.

But in games where the OL got beat alot and i kept getting hit by the big strong D-line of the other team i fumbled alot.

Makes sense to me. I know for a fact that strength has a huge impact on fumbles, you really don't need a ton of carrying if you've got super-high strength. I'm sure it's some multiplier in the code or something where strength disparity increases the chance of forcing a fumble.

I have a level 11 Power back who will be boosting:
Strength: 47.67 Blocking: 12
Speed: 27.6 Tackling: 8
Agility: 24.68 Throwing: 12
Jumping: 12 Catching: 12
Stamina: 25.47 Carrying: 23.34
Vision: 21.36 Kicking: 9
Confidence: 16.98 Punting: 7

3-3-3-3-2

I was thinking of adding 5 to stamina (30.4), 2 to vision (23.3), 2 to get another +1 on power thru (make it +4) and 6 to strength (53.7). I am also training confidence.

Any thoughts on this?

You're gonna need speed and some agility. No point in all that strength if after you break a tackle, you can't outrun them

Does size matter for a power back?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=252085

No my powerback is a lightweight at 186 pounds but he hits the weights and has 55 str so he broke over 200 tackles last season and rushed for 1500 yrds

you also need some speed, I have 40 but my agility has been fine at 25. Instead of dodging guys he just runs through them. He has over 30 vision as well.

My guy ran for 2500 yards and broke 1.2 million tackles. He scored 101 Tds but the stats only count double digits so it looks like 1.

If you want to get into specifics about attributes and builds lets hear it. I personally think a high strength lets you have a low-average carrying and not have to worry about fumbles as much.

On the last point I agree. I had 30 Carrying and 3 Cover Up and fumbled a shitload in CA Pro. I was a more balanced back and ran for 2000 yards on 5.3 YPC though...was the second highest YPC among starting RBs in the league.

Me: 379 carries, 2001.5 yards, 125.1 ypg, 5.3 ypc, 13 td (power<->balanced)
#2: 234 carries, 1066 yards, 66.6 ypg, 4.6 ypc, 34 td (elusive)

How is my guy doing?

What do i need to improve on with my next couple of levels?
I have an elusive back but this is a new power back. Im assuming vision
isnt as important for a power back.

It might not be as important as for an elusive back, but it is definitely still important.

and your stats are not open.
