Yeah, after the original billyvassi controversy I did some research and saw that they had acquired players from that team. While I had originally tried to defend Billy, I am now of the opinion that he does need to be suspended/banned for collusion, as well as any team owner he colluded with.

If he were truly just trying to "do the right thing" as he had claimed in the original thread, he wouldn't have dealt players to teams he was on.

I used to respect the Bandits as a team (even if I think many of their team members are idiots), but after this stunt, which I firmly believe to be entirely dishonest, that throws any former respect I had out the window.

The Bandit's team should agree to release the players as immediately as possible, and recuse themselves from any post season activities.

Billyvassi: I am ashamed at having attempted to defend you in the original thread.

Bandits team (management): You have cast a pall over an otherwise clean league, and brought shame and disgrace to the Oceania league.

Ridiculous

You're a Bandits player, what're the odds you'd think it was ridiculous?

It is collusion by definition. I was there in the beginning for the original controversy, so don't give me that nonsense. You guys are underhanded and now everyone knows it.

I'm a bandit player with no stake in ownership. I also have 10 other players on various teams and am the GM of one of the better teams in the game. In addition, I'm a regular contributor in the forums and have been around since the very early days of open Beta.

I have nothing to gain by supporting the Bandits if I thought there really was collusion.

So I traded an entire team, to about 30 different teams around the league, ALLLL as a way to trade 1 CB to the Bandits? (as part of a fair trade)

LOL.

Edit: they already are starting, see above...

Doing the right thing equals threatening to sabotage a team instead of have a rational discussion?

Okay

He aired the gripes in a private team forum first...that is the right thing to do. Then rather than discuss it with him you banned him? The bandits look more and more guilty with every sentence typed...

I have already stated that I thought banning him after the post was in error, but it wasn't my decision. After it was done, Joe should have tried to discuss it rationally instead of making threats.

Give me a break. This is a whole lot of crap about nothing.

I felt bad for Joe, cause I did agree that the actions put on him were a bit to swift, as I did not think that he was trying to be "evil" or anyhting for posting the info on billyvassi. He just kind of put it out there and said "here it is"

Just another reason to hate on the bandits as I see it, but thats what you get for being on top.

See the "New England Patriots"

can we call this billvassigate?

edited for typo

It isn't about nothing. It's about collusion, which is a very serious problem occurring on GLB. Billy claimed early on that he was trying to do the right thing, in helping out a team (a move that is in question and has been debated at length) but most people thought him in the clear as the impression was given that he hadn't dealt players to teams he was on.

People who don't believe things like this are serious, are the kinds of sheep that get exploited like this to begin with.

Billy exploited a situation he shouldn't have for his team's personal gain.

Period, end of story.

You keep trying to get around the point with circular rationalization. You traded a player to enhance you team. It was wrong to do. You know it, everyone else knows it. Quit trying to justify it...

YOU WERE WRONG

Which has nothing to do with the Bandits. I IMed catspaw and asked if he would like that CB, he said yes and offered a fair trade for him of equal levels. He didn't even know I was gutting a team.

The reports are he tried to have a rational discussion, bringing it up internally, and he was banned for it. I don't blame him for making threats (not my preferred tactic), it's usually one of the only effective tactics left after that.

Either way the Bandits made a huge error in judgment here, and they're going to be embarrassed for it.

Isn't the point of trading a player to enhance your team? You've never done that?

I traded ONE player to him.

You realize that you are upset about someone trading ONE player to a team in exchange for ONE player of equal value?

It has everything to do with the Bandits you moron...you have just admitted to collusion. You IM'd a team you are on in an attempt to trade them a player (without putting him on the market, thus giving the Bandits an exclusive shot at him) in an effort to better them.

That IS COLLUSION...by definition...continue trying your weak little justifications all you want, you're wrong and you just make yourself look even more like you were trying to cheat from the get go...

It's quite not, actually. Collusion is depleting a team to build up another team. No team was depleted by that move, it was an equal trade.

The point is you cheated, one player or a hundred its still collusion. Rob one bank or a hundred its still robbing banks.

The point of trading the player was to enhance your team? Because when you were still trying to play innocent you said the point was to get everyone on active teams..

You continue to make yourself look more guilty of collusion by admitting to it every time you post.

His first post was rational. When he was banned from the forum for it, he instantly resorted to getting into a pissing contest and making threats. If he had said, "Wait a minute, I didn't mean anything by posting it in the public forum" it would have blown over. He chose not to use that tactic.

It is actually....and you deserve to be banned like all the people I defended you from were proposing.

So what you're saying is JOE is irrational for responding angrily when he was irrationally banned for doing the right thing?

Don't you think that statement is a little, oh I don't know, ...irrational?
