To stop the Strong I Off-Tackle run you have to be absolutely balls out aggressive. Especially if you are outleveled. A tactic would be a goaline formation which is 4-4 with 1 S and 2 CB's. With a strong side shift. And a run focus to stakc the box. And blitz at least 2 guys. Another is a 4-3 strong side shift cover 1 to bring the SS up with a run focus. This basically puts the SS up with the MLB/LOLB maybe slightly back. And blitz the hell out of them. I would blitz the LOLB/MLB and maybe the SS but let the ROLB do his thing because he will come over to the strong side and get the RB if he broke thru the wall. You can blitz the SS. Alot of teams are predictable and usually run the play alot.

Note: If the team throws some out of the Strong I don't be this aggressive.

Is there a way to call defensive timeouts, i.e. if score is close and time is running out.

since it is unstoppable, what is the best way to slow down powerbacks out of the I and singleback formations?

We ran all over a team that tried this and we don't even have a power-back. Just saying...

goalline can get its ass tore up if you miss one tackle

best tactic against strong i offtackle is a 4-3 cover one, strong shift, blitzing mlb/rolb/ss/fs

Counter with a play like Cross Up if you have a fast, decent receiving RB. Should be wide open.

I learned a lot of the AI aspect from the owners and DC experts.
If you already know the formation and playbook, you should be able to get a better idea on how to use the AI.

Is it possible to use custom D slots with a custom defensive play. I notice there is an "or" after the custom defensive play, before the custom spots.

Does that make sense?

I'm fairly sure it does work - the wording is suspect. Set your Custom Play and then set your custom spots below the OR.

I tried it with my OLB position and 2 different formations. It works!
