I figure by the time they are 8+ they will be caught back up with maybe 3-4 extra skill points from being able to train stats at low levels (giving more bang per buck).

*Shakes head sadly*

What if someone made a player and boosted him every season but never spent any of the sp for like 20 or so seasons?

The that would be stupid because we are forced to retire after 10 seasons!

That's called slow building.

are you stupid? soft cap your attribute so your free level skill points count towards more - hooray! im training at .34 instead of .31

Easy killer. He doesn't know any better.

When I first started making players I thought putting all your points into SAs would be smart because you can just train your attributes. It never occured to me that other people would just ignore SAs and build these super freakishly fast/strong players, but that was like season 1. I can't believe with all the good creation guides and rate my player threads that people are still making this mistake.

It's been my exp with my own mistakes, and seeing other players on my team make similar mistakes that too many points in SAs is a one way trip to mediocrity and it can take many levels to fix. However, while you're trying to fix it the people who went straight to the soft cap with their key attributes will just get stronger and faster every level while you try to catch up.

I decided to experiment this way, because why not?

My QB has 10 points in Dump Pass and am working Spiral up now, it's at 7.

Can't say that he's very good, but averaging four yards per attempt is enough to consistently get first downs.

No, you aren't forced to retire, abilities just begin to decline.

yeah but you'll lose way more than 3-5 points when you hit your soft cap. Where as if you would have focused on getting your special abilities to that firs then the SA's you will gain points by leveling up over your soft cap that will now cost you 2 for 1...

smart thing would be to put all points into SA and slow train main attributes, then after SA are maxed out, begin to build other attributes, it wont be affective early, but later on it will be

how many points would it take to max out the hole Elusive tree for a RB?

134 SP + 300 FP for your custom equipment. That'd put all of the SAs at 10.

with boost, you could get this decently fast getting to around lvl 20. By then you s hould have a pretty high speed/agility. I bet if someone was patient enough, that would be a kickass RB once you get to lvl 25 or so.

32 catches for 3 TDs, not bad but those 11 drops are not pretty!

That's my strength WR.

I scrapped the route running guy. Didn't feel like building another WR.

I did make a DT who has 9 in Snarl at level 3. Curious to see how that works out.
