Just curious what would happen if somebody did this. A level 8 player all maxed out on SA only and not a single sp spent on anything else.

He would probably get stomped by a level 3 who put his points into his attributes. SAs just boost what's there, and if there is nothing there to boost, then they are wasted points.

I've once read about a guy that put all of his points (he had a HB) in juke and all the player did was juke his ass off , but got nowhere because of his lack of speed/agility and such .

Can't give link , because I've only READ about this , never actually saw it .

Sounds funny though

I've seen people practically do it. They end up looking for teams and being yelled at to just retire because they are slow, weak, and a waste of a position.

I'm trying out a receiver with 9 in route running at level 3.

Well, it's the only SA I plan on putting points in. We'll see how it works. Worst case is I'll retire him. *shrug*

That's what I'm doing with two different players right now; 1 HB and 1 DE. I'm not planning on spending any more Flex Points on them, so unless they post up incredible numbers by level 8, I'll just retire them sooner or later. It's an experiment.

yeah I have a couple of experimental players who I just created so they will play in the D-League for the remainer of this season, I will sign them to my team, cut them, and have them play all of season 4 in the D-league. THEN season 5 I will get them on a human team and if they are decent I will boost at the end of the season, if not I reture and give up on developmental players.

only as a test, not as a long term player strategy. makes for a lousy test. 10 in SAs just can't make up for no stats. didn't even come close.

Here's my current experiment:

The first 5 levels or so plus the initial SP I'm just putting everything into SAs and training up attributes. After level 5, if this build works out okay, I'm going to not touch SAs for about 20 levels and focus on attributes.

I have started a lot of players like that. Put all the first 15 points into SA, and then built up the other attributes with training and level ups. I figure by the time they are 8+ they will be caught back up with maybe 3-4 extra skill points from being able to train stats at low levels (giving more bang per buck).

32 catches for 3 TDs, not bad but those 11 drops are not pretty!
