Lol, sometimes it's OK to blame an OC / give credit to a DC.

Idk how I managed a 13 yard passing game, but I checked that bingo box!

Not sure how you'll take this, Wise, but it's something I've noticed a lot throughout my time as a coach (OC or DC). If I have a dot on the team I'm working for... OR, I have a favorite dot I think is a golden laddie... I notice I get a lot of flack from the opposition. Meaning if I'm braggin on a player... or, even if I'm just the owner of the dot, my opposition tends to concentrate on that player a LOT more. If I have a PHB, they got 20 in the box.... if I have a WR they double and triple cover him. If I have a RQB they sell out every time he's in the game to stop his runs (or even his passes when I do so).

Just saying... I get the love ya have for this wee laddie of yers but, perhaps you put a target on him as well? Maybe that's why the 13 yard game? Just thinkin out loud.

4/9 for 100 YTDs and a TD vs WAR MACHINE isn't bad.

TD hit 48+ on speed scrip: https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=26471&pbp_id=448835

Y'know what? I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt on some of my posts in this thread, but nah, I'm done with that.

Back to catching well below 50% of his passes. He's gonna have some good games and nice catches here and there, but the Jackals wrote the book on how to stop him. Lookin' at another first-round playoff exit, most likely.

Save this post.

There are 6 WR's in CL averaging more than 42 yards/game. 3 of these WR's are the possession slot WR's RC is using 1 each on his 3 teams. The other 3 are ultra speed WR's on Sno.

So based on s105 I would rename the thread: "WR Darth Plagueis: Open build of perhaps GLB's best living speed WR". Are you satisfied with that distinction?

And again, throwing the ball deep is not going to have the same comp% as throwing the ball shorter. If I wanted to NOT throw to Plag on 3rd and long clear passing situations (where he has 27 of his 66 targets), I'm sure I could improve his comp% at the expense of scoring points and helping his team win games.

Those 3rd and long situations playing against cover3 man are a difficult shitshow to pass against, no matter who the target is.

YPT seem to favor the top possession wrs too.

3rd down this season, MHJ caught 10 of 12 with 21.7 YPC and 18.1 YPT

Catching seems more important than speed even for deep passing...

Fair point, I do agree more possession WR archetypes should be made and experimented with!

Kinda tough to make definitive statements based on half a season when defenses, other offensive dots, OC's all play a role. If DC's cared enough to adjust they'd throw 2 players in man on the possession guys which *may* work better. Current DC's would rather leave extra defenders in zones over the top which admittedly defend the speed guys better.

I don't think we should make definitive archetype conclusions based on RC poss receivers nor based on Sno's ultra speed receivers. Likely there's a place for both in GLB. It's the standard 160/90/90 spd WR builds that are a proven failure at this point though against top teams.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing this "Open Educational Build"? I wonder if this build is morphing behind the scenes and we were all duped.

...I'm but a peasant watching the world league kings and queens...don't mind me

It was open for 2 months, but sure re-opened.

At the moment he has MVP equipment though (+2 spd, +2 agi, +1 catch, +fake%)

Agreed. Someone needs to pull those SS/FS away lol

and also agree half a season isn't much data

We actually have 1.5 seasons of data... this particular WL was in the top league last season too, with similar results.
