Ehh, anyone who gets out to a strong start to the regular season is in coast mode since a top8 seed is ezpz with some wins in the bank.

There's normally 1 team that's a tier below roster-wise and racks up tons of losses, so you're left with 5 teams competing for 4 playoff spots in each conference.

Anecdotal example, s97/s98 when TSW averaged 44+ PPG on offense, did not have very many times actively gameplanning for a specific opponent in the regular season because playoff seed doesn't matter at all.

Honestly Chem isn't a big issue with 7 season plateau. We are going to see a lot of cradle to the grave teams too.
