Ok, so in the past, the premade Ai were not great.

It's the object of this to give everyone in the game access to a Pro level winning Ai?

Like use this to punch your ticket to WL (if there's going to be one)?

I was just building a starting point, for everyone to use. A lot of people are talking about custom progressions and stuff.

I'm not sure we should be handing out the keys to the castle. Putting in the effort to go from good to great should still be part of the game IMO.

I think I'm envisioning like a public, "team" that everyone can have access to if they want it, and can (and should) remove access to. That would make it easy to get Ai and plays from.

Slightly better than the previous premade AI's but nothing you're going to want to use long term if you want to be competitive

Agree. Even if it's as simple as making an AI with all the inputs done... no outputs or plays or packages... just a blank AI you can start with. Creating the blank is the tedious part. Once I have one, the rest is easy. Maybe takes a bit to finish but still... easy.

Hard disagree. The more people that know Wtf they are doing coordinating, and the easier it is to start and do well, the better and more competitive this game is.

My OAI's built for this will be replica's of my actual OAI/packages (which s97 and s98 was leading WL in ppg by +50% over the #2 team). And notes will be tips on how to adjust the OAI as needed.

At the end of the day, scouting, adjusting, va's, and utilizing builds are giant components of coordinating. But I strongly disagree on submissions being purposefully suboptimal.

In fairness there is a much bigger difference in building a WL-suitable OAI vs. DAI

I plan to make the following presets:

Called:
DoubleTE-Offense (TE-heavy Runs,Passing offense)
Quick-Pass Offense (W1W2W3 speed WRs, Quick, short passing game)
DoubleBack (HB,FB offense)
Anti-Blitz (Counter with Screens, Short passing towards the blitzing side)

and then re-creating 4 WL offenses based on plays and distances:
SWAT Control (Run and Pass Plays suited to 3 blkTEs,2pHBs)
Orlando Power (Run centric with specific passing)
TSW Air Raid (Pass O centered around speedWR3 and FB)
Hood Spread (Outside runs,Pass Shorts)

Thoughts?

Jersey/AI heavy RQB outside runs and short passes

Obviously too late now but how interesting would it have been if all time great teams could have their roster and AIs of choice saved somehow so they could be used in scrimmages in the future.

Like I could scrim the s87 Frenzy vs the s97 Frenzy

Agreed. OAI is ezpz to make, and DAI is crazy hard to make.

Wow... This is a great Idea which should be considered by Bort tbh.
Kind of like immortalize WL/Casual Pro champions, aka NBA 2k playing the historical teams

Agreed, that sounds pretty dope. Imo it'd be worth even if the flex cost as higher than regular scrims.

I'd suggest system auto captures d40 dots and AI's though, and obv they would be publicly available to scrim against.

Tho we obv gotta give the bortman time to rebuild base glb, then try to convince him to stick around for some cool tweaks.

I've got all the pieces in place to import packages and custom plays as presets now, and a "creator notes" option has been added to the various pieces of AIs. You can use them for notes on your own stuff, or for notes on the AIs you're submitting.
