I haven't with a full decline team, but do remember the Auburn War Eagles making playoffs as a full decline roster in s79 https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?season=79&team_id=38

I'm sure there's an agreed upon logic to it, just looks like a Kim Jong-Un managed football league to the uneducated independent outsider.

true but if you can't win promotion against them, why go up there and get beaten badly?

Well some would say it pretty much keeps the current network-only good-old-boys same-old-same-old going, which some would also say is pretty boring and could be part of the reason this game is so stagnant.

Cherry-picking leagues is like gerrymandering electoral districts imo. Benefits those already in power and gives others no chance or motivation.

almost every time I have switched a league it is because someone else (non WL team related) wanted to swap with me - this season HHWC swapped with a WLE team at the WLE group's request

most teams (when they demote) go back to where they came from and don't worry about it

Final Regular Season ranking. Nomad's loss to end the season and ruin the last perfect record probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but does put a new team at the top:

#1 TSW – EPL – 15-1 (Back Street 19-17)
#2 Nomad – PPL – 15-1 (Pandemonium 23-17)
#3 HHWC – SAPL – 15-1 (Bandits 25-24)
#4 Back Street – EPL – 15-1 (STALINGRAD 13-7)
#5 VBA Black Army – NAPL - 15-1 (Chaos 34-31)
#6 Chaos – NAPL – 15-1 (WAR 38-27)
#7 STALINGRAD – EPL – 14-2 (Back Street 17-13, TSW 16-7)
#8 Llamas – PPL – 13-3 (Maori 26-23, Nomad 17-13 & 20-10)

#14 Insanity – SAPL – 12-4 (Bandits 25-9, Nonconformist 37-30, HHWC 62-10, Damnation 17-10)

#17 Black Hand – EPL – 11-5 (TSW 31-16 & 42-16, Vipers 42-17, Back Street 38-24, STALINGRAD 21-14)
#18 Redwolves – NAPL – 11-5 (VBA 38-17 & 64-21, Chaos 28-17, Alabama 35-24, Express 13-10)
#19 Riders – PPL – 11-5 (Highrollers 31-0 & 34-7, Nomad 47-9, Llamas 12-3, Hurricanes 13-10)
#20 Vipers – EPL – 11-5 (TSW 30-0 & 31-0, STALINGRAD 20-13, Back Street 31-3, Black Hand 33-29)
#21 BDS – SAPL – 8-8 (Damnation 45-24, HHWC 69-7, Nonconformist 51-10 & 30-24, Bandits 45-17, Insanity 28-26, HHWC 21-14, Damnation 24-9)
#22 U-ND Sea Wasps – NAPL – 8-8 (COLUMBUS 30-11, Express 6-3, Redwolves 38-27 & 49-21, VBA 24-0 & 34-10, WAR 35-28, Chaos 48-13)

And a little look ahead at the playoffs:

EPL –
First round games:
#4 Back Street vs Mammoths, #7 STALINGRAD vs #25 Stillwater
#1 TSW vs Blue Mountain, #20 Vipers vs #17 Black Hand

Back Street, STALINGRAD, and TSW should coast into the conference finals although Stillwater could give STALINGRAD a tussle. The one to watch is the Vipers/Black Hand game. They split their regular season matchups and will go at it to see who gets fed to TSW.

Conference Finals Predictions: Back Street vs STALINGRAD, TSW vs Vipers
Championship Final Prediction: Back Street vs TSW

PPL –
First round games:
#2 Nomad vs #16 Hurricanes, #8 Llamas vs #15 Pandemonium
#13 Highrollers vs Process, #19 Riders vs Hot Mamas

The Hurricanes are good but run into Nomad in the first round. The Highrollers and Riders don’t have anything standing in their way. Pandemonium has given the Llamas two tough battles this season and they ruined Nomad’s undefeated season iin a late game. This one could come down to a tense 4th quarter.

Conference Finals Predictions: Nomad vs Llamas, Highrollers vs Riders
Championship Final Prediction: Nomad vs Highrollers

NAPL –
First round games:
#5 VBA vs #22 Sea Wasps, #18 Redwolves vs #23 Express
#6 Chaos vs Crusaders, #9 WAR MACHINE vs #24 Alabama

Again, three look to move on fairly easily. VBA, Chaos, and WAR HAMMER will be looking ahead to big conference title games. The Express and Redwolves should be a good one. They split their regular season games in a couple tight battles. On paper, the best first round matchup.

Conference Finals Predictions: VBA vs Express, Chaos vs WAR HAMMER
Championship Final Prediction: VBA vs Chaos

SAPL –
First round games:
#3 HHWC vs #21 BDS, #10 Nonconformist vs #11 Damnation
#12 Bandits vs Trill, #14 Insanity vs Railroaders

Seeing a pattern? Three more should be cakewalks – HHWC (although BDS hung with them late in the season), Bandits, and Insanity. So unless BDS can pull the upset, the closest one here should be Nonconformist and Damnation. But Nonconformist handled them relatively easily twice in the regular season.

Conference Finals Predictions: HHWC vs Nonconformist, Bandits vs Insanity
Championship Final Prediction: HHWC vs Insanity

Lost Quarters did full decline and made the playoffs in S75. Smashed in the first round.
Midnight Marauders did full decline and made the playoffs in S84. Smashed in the first round.

You can compete in the regular season fine, but by playoff time it gets pretty ugly.

Yea I finally have a team that can intercept the ball, and you caught the INT bug for a bit there.

Here we go. Going with the chalk or foresee any upsets?

EPL
#4 Back Street vs #7 STALINGRAD
#1 TSW vs #17 Black Hand

.....TSW remains the favorite, the Back Street/STALINGRAD winner may bring some bruises to the final.

PPL
#2 Nomad vs #8 Llamas
#13 Highrollers vs #19 Riders

.....Looking like a Nomad vs Highrollers final as Llamas & Riders take one more swing at the big dogs.

NAPL
#5 VBA vs #23 Express
#6 Chaos vs #9 WAR HAMMER

.....The Express are an afterthought as one really heavy, heavyweight matchup is on the horizon in this championship game.

SAPL
#3 HHWC vs #11 Damnation
#12 Bandits vs #14 Insanity

.....Looks like two really good semis. Hard to say who will be left standing.
