I will say that I've seen teams that are 3 levels behind (because other team boosted early to win) still win championships so it can be done. It's just that being 3 levels behind makes it much harder. Especially at the lowest levels. I think the higher you get, that top dot builders who do it right still make dots of excellent quality enough that 3 levels difference can be overcome.

Refresh my memory. How many Champs did you win up thr ladder again? We won 5 of the seven and were still reasonably close to beating Academy. Also got further than you so

no worries - we have a farm team starting this season

once you work your way out of the easy league in rookies I am sure we'll meet up

Yeah it's a pretty huge advantage through Semi Pro for sure.

On a side note... never have cared about rookie whatsoever other than some fun trash talk but why are we always slotted in rookie 2. Seems like every time.

if you actually have the stamina to sacrifice for end builds, i will be surprised. The thing that is a challenge when addressing you, is that you sell out to win along the way and want to rub it in at every opportunity.
Then when a rival (that you have had the advantage over because of your short sighted philosophy) stomps you into the ground for three games scrims. your reaction is to run to rookie, instead of hearing the deserved "i told you so" that you have coming.

Win for 5 seasons then run when you have to pay the price.

Don't ask for sims to help you prep for an opponent ever again though. Weak play here.

Plus your record same as ours at PRO LEVEL, we beat you in the only real scrimmage at this level, stomped you from PREP to PRO and have a ton of hardware while your trophy shelf collects dust bunnies and tumbleweeds.

I enjoyed the banter everyone. Been fun.

FWIW - The Redwolves dominated all the way up to Pro with what we thought was a roster full of dots built for Pro. We had 6 straight tourny trophies, many league trophies in between, and had a 56 game winning streak at one point. We've been competitive, but it's really hard beating WL teams to get to WL in the playoffs every season. Definitely some SOLID teams in Natty Pro and every season enters a new WL drop out team that is in the upper 5% of Natty Pro.

Then the other side, a team you build for Pro/WL gets to Regional Pro and then loses 5 players to inactivity or whatever have you, and you have 5 holes you can't replace with the non-existent FA market. Most of this being due to the networks that have teams to feed at the top. I get it, it works for them. But It really makes you want to join a network, most of which aren't exactly recruiting new or returning players.

It's quite the predicament. Disheartening for some of the outliers like myself.
