I wouldn't imagine for a second that you low end pro vaxxers would be able to understand, but there is a massive difference between relative efficacy and absolute efficacy. The truth is, that the 90% figure bandied about is a toxic misrepresentation. The actual figure, using the poison maker's own stats is 0.6%.
And they use very low hanging fulfilment criteria on top of that. The funny thing is, I'm not a "pro vaxxer". I believe everyone should make their own decision. My entire life/career has been dedicated to the sciences. I've done my own research, and chose science over conspiracy theory. Its how humans have made it to this point in history, even with the greedy, evil, and conspiracy theorists doing their best to drag us backwards along the way. I also believe the disease is not as bad as it was initially feared. That is a good thing. That doesn't make people who "thought" that all along "right" in hindsight. It means they guessed heads or tails correctly. I'm glad you were "right". We all are. This doesn't mean it was a "hoax". Doesn't mean there aren't hundreds of thousands dead and dying. Doesn't at the same time mean some of them wouldn't have died from other causes (including the flu) anyways. Also doesn't mean there aren't those out there profiteering off of the fear (media, companies, etc.). These don't have to be mutually exclusive events. They can all be true. Ask India how their "annual flu" is going right about now. Though I'm sure you have a perfect explanation for it that somehow fits your preconceived narrative. That's what makes conspiracy theories so easy. Just write the story along the way and keep your paranoid audience engaged. I mean, if L. Ron Hubbard taught us anything it's that a good storyteller can convince feeble-minded people to believe anything.
What I don't believe is that self-righteous people on the internet should pretend like they have the "right" answer and mislead others with fake statistics and big words they parrot off their favorite "news" sources, and then have the audacity to call others "sheep". The irony is really quite sad/laughable. Or maybe you really do have the "inside scoop" Norse? Are you a professional immunologist? Or at least a microbiologist? Been working in a lab and seen firsthand that it's really just a conspiracy that every country and thousands upon thousands of scientists are all in on? I'm just glad "they" haven't offed you yet for exposing the best coordinated hoax of all time!
Oh, and...Happy Sunday all!
