"There is no tomorrow." You lose and your out and that's what makes playoff time a special part of the season. No "oops, wrong game plan" or "forgot to change a dots settings." Dot you T's and cross your I's. This one will be a longer one as we have the all league team and a bit more in-depth analysis of the games. Was anyone holdinig their breath that the owners would do something nice for the user base - me either.

GAME OF THE WEEK
Bragging rights of who could run the best had the Chile Chupacabras takek down the San Dimas Saints 41-35. The game was highlighted by big play after big play. In the game there were a total of six TD runs between 59 and 80 yards. Both teams were able to score in each quarter and it was everything offensive as the teams combined for 1,142.5 yards on the night.

Chile was able to capture a 24-21 lead at the break then things got interesting. The third saw the fewest total points at 10 but the Saints got the seven and Chile the three making it a 28-27 Saint lead entering the fourth. Chile struck first in the fourth as RB Bridges ripped a 67.5 yard TD run give Chile the 34-28 lead. Not to be out done QB McCormick raced 59 yards to the go ahead score at 35-34. The final score of the game came with 8:59 on the clock as Bridges once again hit paydirt (77.5 TD run). The D's did not break the rest of the game and it's worth noting each team had passing yards though they combined did not hit 20 yards.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RB Calvin "Snoop" Bridges, Chile Chupacabras. Bridges went wild. Only getting 15 carries on the game Calvin rushed for a whopping 346.5 yards (23.1 ypc). The dot had four TD's to put the cherry on top (TD's of 4.5, 80, 67.5 and 77.5)

HOW'D MK DO IN THE PRESEASON????
West - nailed Gag, NFJF, Saints and Yellowhammers but slipped up on the Canucks and Chupacabras order.
East - way off putting a lot of faith in the defending champs, overstimating the Gorillas and underestimating the Chaos.

CONGATS
Two of the four rookie teams will continue on next season as the Saints and Chaos prove their might...second congrats = space filler or the two teams are super special.

PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

WEST - ROUND 1

Chile Chupacabras @ Running Gag: Gag swept the season series and outscroed the Chupacabras 88-0. That's right, two shutouts. Since season 71 the Gag have won 10 straight in the series and most have not been close. Chile has shown some flashes in the series but not often and are the clear underdog in this opening round game.

For Chile to Win
1. Need to move the sticks to eat up clock to keep the Gag O off the field.
2. Must create some turnovers in plus territory to get some easy scores.
3. As a big underdog getting a big special teams play or two will go a long way for the upset.
DOT TO WATCH - RB Calvin "Snoop" Bridges. Coming off a monster game and is second in the league in rushing at 113.8 ypg. He'll need to reel off another one for the record books to help get their second upset in as many years in the first round.

For Running to Win
1. Limit any big gains on the ground.
2. Get up early and make the Chupacabras play from behind.
3. Don't overlook Chile as they pulled the upset last season.
DOT TO WATCH - QB Andorra la Vella Andorra. Has steered the O to the second highest PPG in the league at 55 ppg.

As much as I like an underdog I don't believe Chile will keep this within striking distance and Gag will move onto play in their upteenth conference championship...41-7
~~~~~~~~~~~~
San Dimas Saints @ Not Fast, Just Furious: This series was a wild one as they Saints destroyed JF in week two (61-10) but NF was able to eek out an overtime victory in week 13 (31-28). There's no great history here as these teams have met up only twice but this game makes it the rubber match in the series.
For San Dimas to Win
1. Force the turnovers - eight in the series.
2. Make big plays against the D (five 38+ yard TD dashes in the series).
3. Control the clock and keep the JF O off the field.
DOT TO WATCH - QB Fanta Orange. I prefer fanta grape but to each their own...this soda led the league in rushing 1837 and finished third in rushing TD's with 19. The dot will need to lead the rushing attack for the Saints to get the W.
For Not Fast to Win
1. Have to slow the ground game down (in the loss yielded 622 yards and in the win 250.5 yards).
2. Need to convert threes into sevens - seven FG in the series.
3. Limit turnovers as NF is losing 8-1 in the series.
DOT TO WATCH - DE Michael Kelsey. This dot led the league in TFL and will need to lead the surge against the rushing attack of the Saints.
We got upset as the higher seed last season and that one still smarts. This season the Saints have shown they can kick the dog crap out of us. I'd love a layup game into the conference championship but this one is going to be a fight like the latest game that took OT to win it. I have faith in my boys to get the W...30-27
EAST - ROUND 1
Las Vegas Chaos @ Charlestown Chiefs History isn't on the side of Las Vegas in this one. The Chiefs made short work in their two meetings this season winning by a combined 81-6.
For Charlestown to Win
1. Get heat on QB Gun (averaging 13 hurries and 3 sacks in series).
2. Ground game will punish the LVC D.
3. Don't keep them hanging around - big first half to make them play catch up (or ketchup if you're BBQing today).
DOT TO WATCH - CB He Challenged The Chiefs. Had 11 picks on the season and will need to continue that success against the pass happy Chaos squad who will throw at him all game long. He'll need to send a message that you should not challenge the Chiefs.
For Las Vegas to Win
1. Need to get the O going for points (3.0 ppg).
2. Move the chains on O (over 42 minutes average for Chiefs O).
2A. D needs to get off the field as Chiefs have scored on 7+ play drive frequently against D.
DOT TO WATCH - QB Brady Gun. This dot finished third in passing yards but did have more picks (28) than TD's (27). The dot needs to put the team on his shoulders to pull the miracle out of his helmet.
I won't BS - it's very tough to overcome the huge scoring difference but you always got a shot in the playoffs. I do have the Chiefs D smothing the Chaos again and keeping their scoring opportunities to minimal attempts. Look for Charlestow to D up here while hitting the ground game to ensure the W...34-6.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sofia Spiders @ Magua's Revenge Sofia knocked out the Revene in the first round last season and they're hell bent on not letting that happen again. The Revenge swept the season series winning by 10 in the opening week (33-23) and then just destroying them in week 15 (53-14).

For Magua's to Win
1. Get those TO's (nine in both wins).
2. Have to get TD's over FG's (10 FG's in the series).
3. Keep up the fast starts (up 20 in the route and tied in the tight week 1 game).
DOT TO WATCH - QB Ghost Of Bumppo. While you can get lulled asleep by the powerful ground attack GOB keeps D's honest. This dot nearly throws for 300 ypg and will be vital if the Revenge move into the conference championship.

For Sofia to Win
1. Boozy Patton Jr. - falls on his shoulders with the picks.
2. D needs to get the Revenge game under control (225.5 in blowout).
3. OL needs to protect BPJ.
DOT TO WATCH - Boozy Patton Jr. As this dot goes so do the Spiders. He'll need a repeat of his heroics if the Spiders hope to defend their title.

Sofia has rolled through the regular season but the concern for me is the recent amount of picks they've thrown. It's been at an abnormally high rate compared to last season (BPJ only threw five picks in their playoff run against three top tier teams. I don't get the magic will be there. Now, we have the doulbe edge sword as the Revenge have not got out of the first round the past two seasons - dropping both to .spider. lead teams...when someone has your number. I do think Magua's have learned a trick or two defending this all pass team and it will translate from the regular season to this one in getting the W...37-31.

Juarez Jalapeņos @ Magua's Revenge - It's the Jalapeņos last chance for a victory on the season but they won't get it - what they will get is 0-16...77-0

Well, at least we beat the spread and won a half...

Awesome writeup MK.

Curious about how the all conference teams were compiled? I know you told us previously, but I forgot?

Gotta campaign for my team. Our SS was 5th overall MVP voting and ranked higher in conference and global D rank

Used the rankings. Guessing I just missed the dot - my bad. Fixing it.

Kept the other SS on the list as it was close to the second dot rank wise. So, three SS on the team.
