Back on the terraces at the old Arsenal stadium we'd have shouted " Cracker of a game lads!" (although prolly not PC these days)
GG Universal - I believe we were at home which probably helped us stay in the game at times - Overall even at this low speed age level a game that shows why we are all still playing

University Elite #1- The Western Conference won four out of six inter-conference home games. The West leads the series 19-11.
Game of the Week: VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY (9) v. Universal Studios Monsters (7): Why did the Universal Studios Monsters fail to call a timeout in the waning moments of the 2nd quarter? Armadafalls had no answers, except to blame his coordinators. Kicking a field goal on their opponents 17 yard line with six seconds left in the 2nd quarter may have been a better play call for the Monsters than running the ball up the middle and ending the half. Armadafalls wants to blame clock management mistakes for this devastating Monsters' loss. But, the honest truth is that the Monsters completely sold out to try and beat the BLACK ARMY. Admittedly, the Monsters gave the BLACK ARMY their best shot and their best was not good enough. While the thrilling last second 48.5 yard field goal is what shows up on the scoreboard as winning the game, the real credit belongs to the AWESOME BLACK ARMY defense.
Offensive Player of the Week: (OT) Alvis Saladin -owned by splitter24: Time to honor the big ugly offensive linemen. Today the All The King's Men's Offensive Tackle, Alvis Saladin, had an astounding 19 pancakes against a tough Rhode Island Red Wolves Defense.
Defensive Player of the Week: (LB) Cover @2 -owned by Medicated: Free the Weed really stifled Hammer Time's offense today and held them to one measly field goal. (LB) Cover @2 made 4 tackles and defended 2 passes and also made a tackle for loss.
Special Teams Player of the Week: (Special Team's Coordinator) livebytheblitz: The VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY scored all 9 points in today's game with field goals by (K) Dean Weston. But more impressively, the BLACK ARMY knew when to call time outs, knew when to make a coffin corner punt, knew when to spike the ball and knew when to kick a field goal. The special teams coaching was mistake free and earned the BLACK ARMY a win. Minxy knows that she previously said that the BLACK ARMY defense deserves the credit for today's win, but this team is too damn impressive to limit the credit.

University Elite #1- The Western Conference won five out of six inter-conference games on the road today. The West conclusively won the series 24-12. It can now be said: the West is a much tougher conference than the East.
Game of the Week: VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY (17) v. Rhode Island Red Wolves (0): ESPN devoted a good part of their pre-game show on zz man, the Offensive Coordinator for the BLACK ARMY, As ESPN discovered, zz man really knows how to exploit an opponents weaknesses on defense. The Rhode Island Red Wolves have not had a great season, yet they still have a formidable defense. In today's game, zz man attacked the Red Wolves defense with his dynamic duo of quarterbacks. First, (QB) bIG hArRyS Up iN yA HUhAlSkI, in Houdini-like fashion, escaped a double secondary sweep-trap and scored from 12 yards out. Then, on the next possession, (QB) Gun Slinger delivered a laser strike pass to score a 44 yard touchdown. While the BLACK ARMY defense deserves some credit for holding the anemic Red Wolves offense scoreless, zz man and the BLACK ARMY offense really shined today.
Offensive Player of the Week: (WR) Tyjon Lindsey Rafiki -owned by husker4life: Speed kills. There may be no quicker or more exciting wide receiver in University Elite League #1, than (WR) Tyjon Lindsey Rafiki. Twice in the fourth quarter, (WR) Tyjon Lindsey Rafiki took simple screen passes and turned on his jets to advance the ball over half the field and score touchdowns. On the day,(WR) Tyjon Lindsey Rafiki had 140 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Week: (LB) Lestor Sinclair -owned by bamastrac: All The King's Men's offense had never been shut out. No shutouts in Rookie, Prep or University leagues over the past three seasons; the King's Men offense always found a way to score. The American Muscle defense, coordinated by bamastrac, set out to change that in today's game. Nobody is better than bamastrac at taking the wind out of the sails of a high flying offense. Today's shut out victory over All The King's Men was bamastrac and the American Muscle's way of showing that they are still a force to be reckoned with in this League. (LB) Lestor Sinclair had 2 tackles, 1 sack, 4 hurries, 1 pass defense and a pancake to lead the way to victory for American Muscle.
Special Teams Player of the Week: (K) Reachout Touchme - owned by Agent 99: If you want to know the difference between the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference look no further than the Yukon Huskies. Sitting at 3rd place in the Western Conference, the Huskies beat every team in the Eastern Conference except for the VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY. Today against the 2nd place team in the Eastern Conference, Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts, the Yukon Huskies dominated and obtained a 26-0 victory. (K) Reachout Touchme scored 4 field goals and 2 extra points.
