We made it through the first week and as I pointed out previously eight of the games were won by 50 or more points. I think this week it will be around 10 or possibly more. Just wanted to get the picks out so at least there was something out there for the week. With a few hours until week 2 kickoff...

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE
RB Jim Rhodes, Chocolate Blaze. Rhodes carried the ball 34 times for 246.5 yards and scored three TD's in the Blaze's 27-13 win over Hotties Pride.

DEFENSE
LB LB You have a 1 in 4 chance of a free pabst, San Onofre Isotopes. Pabst recorded 10 tackles, one TFL, one PD, and a pick in the Isotopes 24-20 win over the HOOD.

SPEECIAL TEAMS
K Lewis Robinson The Underground Superstars. Robinson only hit one FG in the game but it came in the 4th with the scored tied at sevens. The FG propelled the The Underground Superstars to a 10-7 win over the Gotham City Rogues.

PREDICTIONS
YOU'RE DEAD TO ME vs. Twin Peaks - There better be an avatar bet on the line so we can see Rube with something funny all season as TO ME gets the win...27-23.
Off In The Bathtub (A.D.D) vs. Sin City Dream Team - Dream Team will come out on top rather easily here...59-6.
Running Gag vs. San Onofre Isotopes - If SOI could put points on the board it would help as they "limited" the Gag to 34 points the last time they met up - if if if won't help as the Gag win...48-10.
Gotham City Rogues vs. Detroit Muscle - Muscle coming in off a tough opener but will get untrack this week...48-0.
Acme Packers vs. Hawaiian Tropics - Packer try but you don't get points for trying and they'll need them against the Tropics. Hawaiian in an easy one...100-0.
DIABLOW DOTS vs. B. O. S. S. - This would should be a defensive game but double DD will get something late for the win...23-20.
Werewolves of Dublin vs. The Bus Drivers - Dublin just a little old while the BD's are looking to chalk up some early season wins - they will...38-14.
Austin Longhorns vs. Hotties Pride - Pride should prode the rest of the agents to boost dots as it will continue to hurt them. Longhorn win here...34-13.
Chocolate Blaze vs. Midwest Mafia - I like the match up here as its either one but I'll take the Blaze to eek it out...20-17.
Bier Markt vs. Dexter's Dark Passengers - BM won by 100 the last time these two met up but it won't be as bad this season...77-0.
Wonkas' Candy Corps vs. Nicaragua Chupacabras - I'll take WCC in a low scoring game here...6-3.
Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. The Underground Superstars - HOOD started slow but don't expect that to last as they get the 1st W of the season...100-0.
Heisenberg Full Measures vs. Her Majesty's Dragons - Dragons got tested and failed in week one but will have an easier exam this go around...48-3.
Orange Creek Outlaws vs. Cypress Creek Scorpios - The creeks cross and it will be Orange over Cypress...100-0.
The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant vs. Springfield Rifles - Alpha in a route...255-0.
Camelot Red Knights vs. OffTopica Prayer - I've got the Red Knights getting the win here...31-10.

Week two in the books and I'd say a few upsets early on. Eight games at 50+ wins and that seems to be the trend although I thought it could be 10 this past week. We'll see if that keeps up on the season.

GLB SURVIVOR
Survivor saw 59 entries enter the week but a little shake up saw six drop off the radar. Shoutout to blingblong89 who picked me but I let him down - we both were let down buddy. The biggest loss (three) were folks who took the Midwest Mafia over the Chocolate Blaze (Blaze won 27-3).

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE
RB Baby Earl, Austin Longhorns. Earl carried the ball 26 times for 162.5 yards and two TD's to help lift Austin over Hotties Pride 22-19.

DEFENSE
FS Mr. Reese, The Bus Drivers. Reese recorded a game high with 14 tackles and also recorded a sack in the Drivers 13-6 over Werewolves of Dublin.

SPECIAL TEAMS
K B.O.S.S. KB. O. S. S. The dot may not have hit the game winner but his FG provided the difference in the war as B.O.S.S. beat DIABLOW 24-21

San Onofre Isotopes vs. Austin Longhorns - Isotopes are the league hero taking down the champs and there will be no letdown here...38-20.

Hotties Pride vs. YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - TO ME trying to establish itself as a top team and they'll continue to do so this week...45-17.

Twin Peaks vs. Off In The Bathtub (A.D.D) - Peaks looking a little under the weather coming off the boarder battle but will get going here...48-3.

Acme Packers vs. DIABLOW DOTS - DOTS felt the sting of a close loss but won't sweat this week...100-0.

Sin City Dream Team vs. B. O. S. S. - BOSS came through big and now have another big game but they'll be able to catch a nap and do some dreaming in the 2nd half...34-20.

Detroit Muscle vs. Werewolves of Dublin - Could be a good one with the Muscle's chemistry woes but they'll have enough O to keep Dublin at bay...31-9.

The Bus Drivers vs. Running Gag - Gag got hung up but they won't lose two in a row as they'll hijack the Bus...84-10.

Hawaiian Tropics vs. Gotham City Rogues - WHY NOT, tropics will move to 3-0 and continue to lead the West...45-0.

EAST
Her Majesty's Dragons vs. OffTopica Prayer - Dragons should be able to put it on cruise control in this game...150-0.

Springfield Rifles vs. Chocolate Blaze - Blaze get to do some stat stuffing...255-0.

Midwest Mafia vs. Bier Markt - Mafia will move off the .500 mark but in the wrong direction...56-6.

The Underground Superstars vs. Heisenberg Full Measures - Superstars averaging 5 ppg and Full Measures putting up 4.5 ppg. This one will be low scoring but HFM will win...9-6.

Dexter's Dark Passengers vs. Orange Creek Outlaws - Will see if DDP can get separation from the lower group and I think they do...24-23.

Cypress Creek Scorpios vs. Wonkas' Candy Corps - WCC wins going away 204-0.

The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant vs. Camelot Red Knights - I have the LEGION's getting to the playoffs and this is one of those must games for them but they'll come through...23-17.

Nicaragua Chupacabras vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - HOOD will do some crushing in this one...100-0.

BB's ELITE 8 A lot of movement from just a few hours ago but one week's worth of games will do that.
1. Bier Markt - sick of all the silver from last season but not tested to date as the Muscle is hurting a bit.
2. San Onofre Isotopes - you take down the champ you get some love.
3. YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - beat up on poor Rube and showed no signs of any sympathy for his Sooner buddy.
4. B. O. S. S. - got a nice win early in the season in a hard fought game.
5. Running Gag - guess they answered my question from last week so we'll see how they respond.
6. Her Majesty's Dragons - not so sure they're the best one loss team any longer.
7. Sin City Dream Team - are staying off the radar but with three tough weeks coming up they'll rise or fall off.
8. Chocolate Blaze - they may have a clean run until week five.

Week three down as we near the quarter away mark on the season. Still not a lot of chatter on the forums but I'm not overly surprised. I said I'd keep my eye out and this week we have a total of nine games decided by over 50 points. One more than the previous two weeks. It's Friday and I'm still in the office so let's get cracking so I can get a few beers in me.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE
RB Paul. Hornung, YOU'RE DEAD TO ME. Hornung shouldered the load for TO ME as he helped lead TO ME to a 24-10 win over Hotties Pride. Paul totted the rock 20 times for 141.5 yards and two TD's on the night. Hey, had to give MK something here as it was a long night for his own team.

DEFENSE
DT Terrell Crouch, Detroit Muscle. Crouch was a grouch on the interior leading the Muscle to a 23-3 win over the Werewolves of Dublin. Terrell had five tackles, one sack, and a pass defensed on the night.

SPECIAL TEAMS
K Otto Mattick, The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant. Mattick was just that when it came down to booting the game winning kick in OT as Alpha Quadrant nipped the Camelot Red Knights 20-17. Otto missed one FG during the 1st quarter but made up for it with the game winner.

PREDICTIONS

WEST

Gotham City Rogues vs. Acme Packers - Both teams have struggled to an 0-3 start and while GCR has the ole 79's against the 70's the Packers have a higher player value (1203.74 to 1179.42). Chalk that up to rushing QB's and the Rogues will walk away with an easy win here...100-0.

Running Gag vs. Detroit Muscle - With the Muscles chemistry in the 60's still it would take a monumental effort to take Gag off their feet and that won't happen as Gag will run away with this one...48-17.

DIABLOW DOTS vs. Sin City Dream Team - The run versus the pass and in today's GLB world the run will win out as the DOTS get by the Dream Team...45-23.

Werewolves of Dublin vs. Hawaiian Tropics - Dublin is coming off two close losses and the Tropics are riding high at 3-0 but I'd argue the SOS is not real high. If your going by records this will be an upset for Dublin as they'll do enough to upend the Hawaiian dream...24-20.

Austin Longhorns vs. The Bus Drivers - Big game for both of these 2-1 teams so I had to sneak a peak at least seasons game and saw the Drivers beat up on the Longhorns. It won't be a 35 point win again but it still will be a win...31-13.

B. O. S. S. vs. Twin Peaks - The big boy pants are out but with Rube working on his Bruce Jenner wanna be look you have to question the focus of the Peaks. That will cost them here in what will be a tight battle...24-23.

YOU'RE DEAD TO ME vs. San Onofre Isotopes - Suga want his team to be mentioned with the better teams in the league and this will be a showcase for that. SOI does hold the series lead at 2-0 and they add another W to that by be stronger in the 4th quarter...31-17.

Off In The Bathtub (A.D.D) vs. Hotties Pride - I have been giving Hottie some heat as have some members on the forum. Boost or not the Pride need this one and they'll get it against team only getting 9 ppg...27-9.

EAST

Wonkas' Candy Corps vs. Dexter's Dark Passengers - Even at 2-1 I'm not sure what to make of WCC. I do think triple D will come away with the win in fairly easy fashion...38-10.

OffTopica Prayer vs. The Underground Superstars - The Superstars got their one win and it may be tough to get some more although they do face a CPU team. Prayer will say a little hail marry and it will help them tame the stars...48-0.

Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. Cypress Creek Scorpios - HOOD gets to pad some stats...255-0.

Heisenberg Full Measures vs. Nicaragua Chupacabras - Full Measures will roll here...155-0.

Orange Creek Outlaws vs. Midwest Mafia - While MM didn't score against BM I was impressed with the defensive effort. That alone will propel them to get win number two on the season...51-3.

Camelot Red Knights vs. Her Majesty's Dragons - Knights are coming off a tough OT loss but they won't bring enough into this one to slay the Dragon...100-0.

Chocolate Blaze vs. The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant - Good match up here between two 2-1 teams. Could be the GOTW but I've got the Blaze making a comeback and scoring late to secure a hard fought victory...24-20.

Bier Markt vs. Springfield Rifles - BM gets to stuff the stats here...255-0.

1. Bier Markt - Struggled a bit in beating Mafia.
2. San Onofre Isotopes - Took down a feisty Longhorn team in convincing fashion.
3. YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - Had an unexpected battle this week against an undermanned (non-boosted) team with 13 dots needing to "pump it up."
4. B. O. S. S. - Started strong against Sin City in cruising to a victory.
5. Running Gag - Looks like the hiccup is behind them and they're just as sharp as ever.
6. Chocolate Blaze - Hey, BM beat the Mafia by 24 and so did the Blaze so they may be onto something this season.
7. Her Majesty's Dragons - Were not going to let a knight take them out and won handily.
8. Twin Peaks - Still having nightmares in loss to YOU'RE DEAD.
