Vicious was an up-and-down team last season, and although they faced a tough non-conference opponent they definitely started on a down note. Used to racking up big rushing numbers against opponents, they got a taste of their own medicine in week 1. METRO CHOPPERS piled up 296.5 yards on the ground with a whopping 63 attempts. Notably the D missed 25 tackles against the KC backfield while only recording 1 TFL. The result was a 7-34 deficit early in the third quarter and more than 2:1 difference in time of possession for the game. Congrats, Circle (ADD)!

Week 2 fail goes to Burnside's offense. Not doubting that Sunday is the real deal, but 3-31 is an ugly beatdown for a team that won a playoff game last season, worse than the loss to the Rubber Duckies in round 2. Where to begin? The Bandits completed less than 50% of their passes while throwing 0 TDs. They also got sacked 5 times for a net of 133 yards on 37 pass plays with 2 INTs. Both RBs averaged 2.0 yards per carry. Five straight three and outs resulted in just 56 offensive plays and less than 20 minutes time of possession. Congrats, Bandits!

Burnside Bandits offense

Finally got one!

Week 3 fail goes to Algoma's GL QB Rollout Strong D. The play only got called against them twice, but it was enough for two backbreaking TDs of 70 yards at the end of the second quarter and 65 yards at the start of the third quarter. What was a close 7-10 game quickly became 7-24 in and eventually 7-34 before a bit closer final score. Congrats, B1G Legends™!

Week 4 fail goes to Green Lake because that game was bo-ring. No big plays, only one turnover which resulted in a field goal, only 65-66 plays for both teams. Green Lake's longest pass play went for 10.5 yards and their biggest offensive spark was a 14 yard run up the gut. , Cheeseheads

Green Lake Cheeseheads boring game

Week 5 we have a double winner. WAR and Queen City both fell apart on defense at the end of close games. WAR fought back from a 21 point fourth-quarter deficit to pull within 7 with 7:52 left, but then proceeded to allow Fólkvangr a 15 play drive (all runs) consuming the entirety of the clock to end it. Queen City held a 7 point lead with 4:20 left, but then the Yaksmen marched down the field and scoring with 44 seconds left. In overtime, QC lost the toss and RCKY's offense matriculated down the field for a 70 yard game-winning TD drive, not even bothering to take the easy field goal. Congrats, MACHINE and Bobcats!

WAR MACHINE and Queen City Bobcats 4 minute defense

Week 6 fail goes to an ugly sequence by Puffington at the start of the third quarter. Late in the first half, the offense had finally gotten on the board to pull Puff within 7-21. The second half started with three good gains down to the Sunday Funday 26.5 yard line. But then a sack, a loss on a screen, a sack-fumble (recovered by the offense) set them back all the way to 4th and forever at the 35.5 yard line. The result? A missed field goal. The team never recovered momentum in a 14-27 loss. Congrats, Magic Dragons!

Puffington Magic Dragons backing that ass up

They're hardly the first team to be victimized but it was a little surprising to see Sunday run roughshod so by Legacy's ground attack. Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, but six times the McCoys rush QBs broke free for TDs of 44+ yards. Yue and Q-Fus combined for 381.5 yards on just 17 carries. Congrats, Funday!
