It looked like business as usual when Karl Emil Maximilian Weber tied the game with a TD pass in the second quarter, but rather than keep momentum they looked old and slow in the middle part of the game. Society's next four drives went for 36 plays, 242 yards, and 3 touchdowns for a 28-10 lead early in the fourth, and two picks derailed the attempt at a comeback. Congrats, Funday!

WEEK 11 FAIL
Sunday Funday upset

Honorable mention
Special shout out goes to Hammerfest Vikings who entered the game ahead of Victoria in the standings, and led 3-0 after the first quarter, then lost each quarter 0-14 after that for a final beatdown of 3-42 on the scoreboard and a 401 yardage differential.

Week 12 fail goes to Puffington. In a 10-1 vs 10-1 matchup, Puff controlled their own destiny to get the 1st seed. Especially with Sunday Funday coming off a loss and having just declined another 2%, it seemed a realistic possibility. But it didn't come down to that as Thaaktown had other plans. The Razor Dawgs had their way on both sides of the ball, winning time of possession almost 2:1, yards 383 to 176, and more importantly points 27-3. The fans came for the free beer, but they didn't have anything to stay for. Congrats, Magic Dragons!

Week 13 fail goes to this entire game between Call of Duty and Semarang:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2437616
Where to begin? Two teams with a combined 7 wins coming in. Total of 115 yards on on 54 pass attempts between the two teams. 5 turnovers by heavily-favored Call of Duty making it a close game. Not a single offensive touchdown by either side--in fact, only once did either team even get into the red zone. This was the best play of an ugly, ugly game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2437616&pbp_id=4939681 Congrats, Black Ops and Red Bulls!

Week 14 fail goes to Oseberg's first-half and last 72 seconds defense. Old age and treachery got off to a fast start against youth and beauty as Sunday scored TDs on 4 of 8 possessions to start the game. The kids did turn it around by pitching a shutout in the second half, and had a chance even after missing a 2-point conversion that would have tied the game with 2:03 left, and punting with 1:28 left. It all came down to 4th an inches and a stop would have gotten them the ball in field goal range. Alas:

Following the loss, Oseberg must beat streaking Dallas next to assure themselves an opportunity to get into the playoffs in the week 16 showdown with Texas. Congrats, Vikings!

For week 15, I don't mean to pick on Victoria, but I did let them off the hook last week. They came into the week with wins over Burnside and Hammerfest and a chance to move up to the 4th seed or even better. But once SOCIETY hit a 52.5 yard field goal early in the second quarter they overwhelmed their opponent thanks to +4 confidence team-wide! Tea gave up 14 more quick points and over were outscored 20-3 in the last thirteen minutes of the first half and the first thirteen minutes of the second half. Second downs were a struggle offensively as they gained just 51.5 yards on 18 plays. Defensively first downs hurt them as they gave up 204 yards on 32 plays. Slipping to 7th and just a game ahead of TEXAS, fortunately Victoria finishes with Clandestine and will avoid a 8 seed matchup vs Thaaktown in round 1. Congrats, Teabaggers!

WEEK 15 FAIL
Victoria Teabaggers middle 26 minutes

Honorable mention
No shame in losing to Dallas right now, but Oseberg Vikings were eliminated from playoff contention with their second straight loss and fourth in five weeks, taking the juiciness out of the now-meaningless week 16 matchup against TSOFT.

I commend Oseberg for being under-leveled and fighting the good fight this season. I don't know what their cares are, but that was a tough schedule to end the season.

Thanks. Cares have been exactly zero. Bunch of VAs and SAs not applied and no offensive or defensive AI adjustments. The full defensive AI is a product of 30 minutes in total or so. Not meant as an excuse, I just didn't think we would be competitive at all this season so just didn't pay attention. The goal is to be competitive next season.
