Don't be sad. There's only 16 teams in the conference, it would be boring if a bunch of teams never got one.

Week 3 fail goes to Burnside's 4th quarter. So much for decline... Sunday Funday used extra VP acquired during a mid-life crisis to finish strong and close out a 27-6 win with authority. Burnside played almost the whole quarter on their side of the 50 yard line... not only did the offense fail to cross midfield until 23 seconds left, but the defense played every snap of the quarter in their own territory. Congrats, Bandits!

The week 4 fail is awarded to THE SOCIETY'S big plays (or lack thereof). They managed just 1 run of 10 yards or more and 1 pass of 15 yards or more. Defensively, they had no takeaways and just 1 TFL (for -0.5 yds), and let the game slip away despite Call of Duty barely moving the ball with their 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense.
There actually was a second play where Society rushed for more than 10 yards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2437646&pbp_id=2420049 Unfortunately this fumble cost them a golden field goal opportunity when they could have taken a commanding 9-0 lead late in the third quarter, and with the momentum Black Ops answered with their only TD drive of the game. It was all that it took in the 6-7 decision. They say in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. In this case, one big play ruled over zero. Congrats, TEXAS FOOTBALL!

Week 5 fail goes to Clandestine because, while many teams were blown out this week and even shut out, only one team posted negative yardage. And this team posted a lot of negative yardage. Call of Duty's defense struck again with a -96.5 total net yards effort. +20 on pass attempts, +6.5 on rushes, and -123 on sacks. Add in 5 turnovers and you have to figure they would have just been better off punting on 1st down every time. Congrats, Knights!

In week 6, much like Puff in week 2, Thaaktown was undefeated and feeling good about themselves midway through the 2nd quarter. They held an 21-0 lead over Sunday Funday and appeared poised to claim first place at 6-0. That's when everything went horribly wrong. Late in the half, they gave up two third and longs and a fourth down to keep the drive alive and Sunday closed out the half with a field goal and a little momentum. It had the feel of the Indianapolis/New England AFC Championship game when it had been so one-sided yet Manning and the gang had gained hope. Funday took the opening drive of the second half quickly down the field for a TD. Thaak's squad held the 11 point lead until late in the 4th but then the wheels came off. Following the go-ahead TD by Funday, much like Brady's offense Thaaktown had enough time to answer but could only get to midfield. Congrats, Razor Dawgs!
