I bet there is one happy party - Tennessee. I know they felt snubbed but they should be a happy group.

Would the Vols be any worse off if he were still there?

UGA at -10.5 right now and I think a bit too much is being thought into this low line with what happened in 2004. UGA is going to smoke that team (I mean, come on, 31-24 over South Alabama). Even if Gurley plays a quarter or only a half (or even not at all) Marshall and the passing game will light up that D while the Dawg D isn't great the Vols won't crack that code (Worley had three picks against SA - :rofl. Chuck in Richt has already put the Dawgs on notice not to look past the Vols (they'll roll over UT).

Does football (NFL/NCAA) generally cause less posting? I know I try to get to a game and then have my gambling buddies over for our think tank (no way I bust the game out while they are over and my lap top is hooked up to the projector so everyone would get a hell of a laugh at my expense if I had GLB up there).

#12 UCLA 3-0 at Utah 3-1 (Thursday night)
UCLA is looking very strong! Bruins by 14.
UCLA 34 Utah 27! Only by 7 but not too far off! LOL!

Georgia St 0-4 at #1 Alabama 4-0
I know everyone has games like this but even Bama fans will find it hard to watch. The Tide by 41.

#2 Oregon 4-0 at Colorado 2-1
Poor Colorado, They are starting to play a little better football but Oregon will crush their spirit. Ducks by 35.

#3 Clemson 4-0 at Syracuse 2-2
No disrespect to the Orangemen but Clemson will tear them to shreds. Tigers by 21.

#4 Ohio St 5-0 at #16 Northwestern 4-0
The smart kids are having a great season but they get ran over by an OSU team that looks like they have NC hunt plans! OSU by 17

#15 Washington at 4-0 #5 Stanford 4-0
My Dawgs are playing some really good football but Stanford is looking to get even for last seasons upset. The Cardinal by 7.

#6 Georgia 3-1 at Tennessee 3-2,
I see this game as real close, the Vols will need to rally all they have to beat Georgia but in the end they fall short. UG by 3.

#7 Louisville 4-0 at Temple 0-4
Louisville has yet another easy game winning by 21.

#25 Maryland 4-0 at #8 Florida St 4-0
Really good game here. I think FSU is just to strong! FSU by 17.

#10 LSU 4-1 at Miss. St 2-2
LSU will bounce back and beat Miss ST by 14.

TCU 2-2 at #11 Oklahoma 4-0
The Sooners will be up for this challenge. Oklahoma by 17.

Kentucky 1-3 at #13 South Carolina 3-1
The GameCocks will be to much of a under powered UK team. SC by 21.

Georgia Tech 3-1 at #14 Miami (FL) 4-0
The Hurricanes are back and will blow right past a solid Geo Tech team. SC by 17.

West Virginia 3-2 at #17 Baylor 3-0
This should be a great game! Baylor just looks unstoppable! Bears by 3.

Arkansas 3-2 at #18 Florida 3-1
Very good game but the Razorbacks won't leave the swamp with a victory. Gators by 10.

Minnesota 4-1 at #19 Michigan 4-0
Wolverines must start to play better. Weakest 4-0 in the land after Louisville. Michigan by 13.

#20 Texas Tech 4-0 at Kansas 2-1
Tex Tech will take it to the Jayhawks and the Kansas fan will have to watch. TT by 17.

Kansas St 2-2 at #21 Oklahoma St 3-1
Great Football game here. Cowboys must bounce back. OSU by 7.

#22 Arizona St 3-1 VS Notre Dame 3-2)
I see the Irish coming up with a minor upset win here! ND by3.

#23 Fresno St 4-0 at Idaho 1-4
The Bulldogs make short work of Idaho. FSU by 23.

#24 Ole Miss 3-1 at Auburn 3-1
I'm going with an upset here. I think Auburn is on the mend and will beat Ole Miss by 1.

Was starting to break some games down for the upcoming Saturday wagers and ran across this which was a bit surprising (no, was not going to chuck money on it but it stood out like a sore thumb):

Saturday, October 5th
Air Force vs. Navy - CBS, 11:30
Where is the Falcons' defense? Not in Annapolis.
Pick: Navy
Game has been cancelled due to the government shutdown.

How does the shutdown affect the schools - they are not closed down during this. Our government needs a serious freaking overhaul and it really needs to start with term limits for these career politicians in Congress.

hear hear! recommend reading mark levin's liberty amendments book to help take back control of the federal government. easy read, factual, well thought out and executable with the right initiative behind it.

The Vols lost the ball going into to score and then Geo had 3 plays for zero yards.
Can the bulldogs hit the winning FG?
