Probably the latter. CBS and the $EC will do everything in their power to make sure the Bama and A&M game will have its marquee players. NCAA won't fight all these powers working against them and will eventually throw in the towel and then 5 years down the line make A&M forfeit then entire 2013 season when nobody cares.

I don't know the answers to the questions off the top of my head, but they are important. Either way, lots of defense going on for a guy who is "innocent".
As to the video, even if made illegally, it is still admissible. It would then fall on if the judge/DA wants to go after whoever made it or not. Regardless, it is 100% admissible in any court (and any other non-judicial matter as well).

They have backtracked from yesterday, the initial story is the Connecticut story, there isn't one in Florida.
The video has audio.
The story said the video was taken without Johnny's knowledge.

Weird...I swore I was reading about it being at some bowl game in FL. Guess I didn't care enough. Without knowledge /= hidden. But still doesn't matter, the video can be used regardless.

It is sad to see him bring his corrupt SEC ways into the B1G. I am guessing Delany had a nice sit down talk with him about how they do it in the B1G as he has curbed some of his recruiting 'tactics'. How Hyde is still on the team is a head scratcher, but I guess you can't completely rub off the SEC stench from Urban.

why would Hyde get kicked off the team? a woman hit hit him, he hit back. police closed the case. no criminal charges brought by the woman. suspend him for a few games for breaking a team rule, sure... but kick him off the team?? how many players all over the country get in brawls at college bars and you never hear a word outside of that college town and you want Hyde kicked off the team for taking half a swing at someone who did the same to him? Im not an OSU fan, but Im not gonna hate for something that small.

Based on what? struggling through a weak schedule to a 12-0 season gave you that much confidence? they barely beat Cal in the 4th qtr at home... now they have to go there and play jet lagged without their starting RB. Forget about the B1G opener against Wisconsin, worry about getting out of Cali first. No reason to consider that one a gimme

I'm not saying it is right, but hitting a woman is not illegal if they hit a woman if she hits you first. Yes he hit on her, yeah it appears she rejected him, but she did throw the first punch. I am not defending him what so ever, but in the eyes of the law in Ohio are gender blind when it comes to "defending" yourself. I don't wanna hear that he is bigger than her and in no danger to need to defend himself... the law gives you that right. He went above and beyond what was needed, which is why he is suspended, but he didn't go above and beyond what is allowed of he would have been arrested. And no, I didn't rationalize it, it explained it in the context of the law. He broke a moral law, and so do more than half the football players in America and I'm sure on your favorite team.

And your assumption is wrong, that banner is still up and it is the basis of Hyde's suspension.

It's a gimme. Their whole schedule is a gimme. Again. Maybe the Buckeyes weren't as focused on Cal last season as they should have been. You know Cal will have their attention this time around.

Ohio State's schedule is so bad, they really just need Miller to play his game against 4 decent conference opponents, and as a team to be awake for 3-4 other non-terrible opponents and they'll be 12-0 again. Hopefully Nebraska will be good and can knock them out in the conference championship game.
