He feels it is a shot over the bow so to speak for A&M to rein in his shenanigans since he is the face of college football and he is not pushing out the image the NCAA wants.

The school didn't suspend him for a year. If the school suspended students for a year for having fake IDs, DWIs, criminal trespass, possession of marijuana, etc. there would be a ton of folks suspended out of a student population of 50,000.

Feel free to correct me, but wasn't he suspended a full year regarding the incident involving the fight with the 40 year old? Didn't Mr. Football decide to transfer because he didn't want to sit out a full year? Didn't Sumlin beg him to stay AND get him reinstated to play last season?
