Seems like this is an easy way to implement it without having to switch over to full AI control.

And all this was voted on right?

voting has little to do with whether something can or will be implemented. All voting does (or was supposed to do) was gauge general user support for something.

As seen they have already implemented in the past 2 days several suggested idea's that never went to voting. In fact some were brand new in the past week or so.

The one title i linked isn't the first or only post that was made about changing casual over the past 10 seasons or so people have been trying to change it.

They can't please everyone obviously. They leave it alone- people bitch and complain GLB hates them. They change it and someone else bitches that GLB is ruining casual. Now if gart's point about there being only one valid D preset vs many O presets then that should be adjusted most likely.

We've ALWAYS (at least since I've been here - 4 seasons now) had the ability to put QB1 (rusher) and all those things listed there for specialized offense positions. We never had ANY way to defend it. Now at least we have a way to defend it.

Granted, very few teams made any use of it - but it's been there. I know of several teams over the past few seasons we played who we should have smoked on paper, but since they made use of the custom slots the way they were meant to be used, we couldn't defend them at all. Thankfully, it was a pretty well kept secret, but the offense has been able to do it for ages. It's about time we got at least one way to cover it.

According to the description of the custom slots in the DC it's only for advanced AI's...I don't think you putting someone in that spot was doing what you think it was.

Votes are a courtesy, not a requirement for change.

nah. I have used custom slots and then selected the dots I want in the formation tabs. There was, however, no way to may one QB pass and one run without preset DCs and removing one qb from the depth FTW.

Catch, which D preset has the most blitzing? Which has the least? I think we have seen that pass D in casual is the way to stop the run (trust me all of you spazzers), and that run D is a really good way to engage blockers and lose (except in zone).

I have also seen that blitzing can stuff the run.

Some sort of breakdown of what plays are in each preset, or at least a general overview of documented blitz and strong/weak/balanced shifts would be good.

Also, which use spies?

Some people have seen that Pass D in casual stops the run, but not everyone as evident by AZ's golds. Anyways....

I agree with all of this. This would all be easier to swallow if we some idea what it all contained.

Well we have good battles, that's for sure. However, the gold lives with me.

Plus, we upgraded.

It is totally false. And we have always had a way to defend RQBs.
