Pick against both Laos and Manchester but in all we prevail.

Nice. Tough matchups in round two though. Hard road for both teams.

I'll do the matchups for the next round when I get home tonight.

Well can't say it wasn't a hard road game for Laos this time too. We always had to win on the road like last season. Beat bogota and BSS on road but couldn't quite finish against Richey.

Lookin' forward to seeing if you actually pick Laos to win.

Western Conference Round 2

Laos Chaos (12-4 #5 seed) @ Bogota Roosters (13-3 #1 seed)

Laos avoided the Paragonal curse and survived the Steel Rain but now needs to handle the West's best in the Roosters. Unfortunately for Bogota the Kai are out of the playoffs in lolAPL and unless Ubass manages to keep ITS & skanker far away from the Bogota AI they may not make it much farther than the second round. The regular season matchup saw Laos run away with the game 40-21absolutely demolishing the Roosters run game while running a well balanced attack of their own. The Chaos also won the 3rd place National Minor tournament game against the Roosters but this time in a 13-10 squeaker.

Prediction:
Roosters by 9. I just can't drink the Laos Kool-Aid. They win plenty but I think that Bogota is just a little more well built.

Richey Royals (13-3 #3 seed) @ Black Sea Seismos (13-3 #2 seed)

Richey may have played dead in the last couple of regular season games but managed to put a mighty hurting on the EL darlings of Elite #1. Black Sea roundly thumped the other Royals in their playoff game and now face the Invaders bigger, badder brother. These two teams have one of the great rivalries in the age group despite having met up in the postseason only once. The last time they met the Seismos laid a beating on the Richey winning 58-9.

Prediction:
BSS by 17. Black Sea can make the argument that they are the best team in the age group, winning the official tourney last season, back to back championships in Elite #1 and a win in the TOC tourney this season. The Royals just don't seem like the same team from the last couple of seasons.

Eastern Conference Round 2

Apatity Awesome! (10-6 #5 seed) @ Legion of Dynamic Discord (16-0 #1 seed)

Apatity shrugged off the apathy label and handled their business against the Gangsters and now take their show on the road against the Legion who have had a pretty damn good run these past two seasons. These two teams share not only GMs but also the exact same strain of VD (also known as a vladykins kiss). The last time the teams met in the postseason was last season's Elite #2 championship where AA! took LoDD all the way to the wire losing 14-13.

Prediction:
LoDD by 13. Also boxed wine social held in the forum as hasn't been seen round these parts since the days of IHT and the Wyld Stallyns in Western Europe AA #2.

Manchester Titans (11-5 #3 seed) @ Newport Newz Pitbullz (13-3 #2 seed)

Maybe the Paragonal curse really was the defense? Whatever the case the Titans put up an impressive show in their game against Clay's Hammer, while Newport was far less impressive against Toronto. When these two teams met up in week 11 Newport won on the road 20-14 in a gutsy comeback which saw the Pitbullz put up 20 uncontested points. Probably the toughest game to call this week.

Prediction:
Titans by 1. Mostly because I'd rather see them than NNP in the CCG and because they seem to really want it a bit more.

its funny actually, Bogota wouldn't have been the west's best if it wasn't for us. You know bogota this would be a perfect time to return the favor on this one.

Ya know, all I really wanted was a 6 or 7 seed so we didn't have to match up against LODD in the second round, but NOOOO.

Man I thought Fat Lot was a lock too. Made it pretty deep in WL but when I went out there I thought "Hey, at least I have a good set of picks left for Elite #2".
