Laos Chaos (12-4 #5 seed) @ Regensburg Steel Rain (12-4 #4 seed)

Two of the most dominant passing attacks in the league meet up when Laos comes to town to take on the Rain. No one would be surprised to see either of these teams go deep into the postseason as they have had success against the teams above them but both come in as underdog types. These teams met up just 4 weeks ago in week 12 where the Steel Rain pulled out some shut down D on the way to a 23-7 win and allowed just 0.3 yard per carry.

Prediction:
Regensburg by 7. Adding dots from a failed franchise won't be enough to get Laos deep in the West.

What box score are you looking at. Laos had the shut out D that allowed .3 yds. Laos ran for 2.1 yds.

A team with a rich history of forum excellence takes on a dotball factory with one of the nicer custom fields. These two teams are eerily similar in terms of overall rankings but while AA sports a top 5 rush offense, Madrid shines with their 4th ranked passing D. In their week 12 meeting Madrid emerged victorious with a gritty comeback win over Apatity who started the game with a 17-3 lead in the first quarter.

Prediction:
Madrid by 14. This could change if Sal Basss ever decides to get a decent AI in there but I think Madrid will be just a little too much for Apatity without it.

Of course personally in my adjusted for quality pass/run efficiency rankings, I have Apathy with 21st pass / 10th rush off and Madrid with 20th pass / 24th rush defense.

So unless Madrid comes up with a magic formula for shutting down the running game Apathy could make it a very rough day for Madrid. Then again, Apathy's pass defense is 28th and Madrid is not bad at the passing game so I can easily see Madrid airing it out in the 4th to win this game by a slim margin.

That was a crazy defensive game for both teams. You can tell because both our punters showed up in the top players list of that game. lol

You knew KC was going to go CPU back on day 14? Why would a team play 15 games during the regular season, challenge for a playoff spot, then go CPU right before their last game? That's a shitty way to treat the players on that team, who are now scrambling to find homes.

Tbh everyone on the team basically knew, we were going to change owners but theB0rT didn't approve it the first time and the owner was too inactive to deal with it, he had a lot going on in RL and our OC was also busy with RL...We were happy to even be in position to make the playoffs in this league...

We stayed alive this long because the forums were fun, and we wanted to see if we could make the playoffs without any game plans...

Some damn good teams here...Rivalries that we have had along the way (Laos, Slackers, Hogs, BSS, and the list goes on) it has been a lot of fun...I'm sure we will all cross paths again...

Best of luck to all of you!

For fun...my random predictions (not much thought into it)

Steel Rain vs BSS in the West

LoDD vs Titans in the East

AND.......FINALLY

Rain vs Titans for the gold.gif

This is the game to watch, imo:

Laos Chaos (12-4 #5 seed) @ Regensburg Steel Rain (12-4 #4 seed)

I'm pretty happy to see both of them on the other side of the bracket tbh. I'd rather take my chances against the top three seeds .

You were probably right on the money about game of the week. This game started out bad for Laos then as we caught up it went back and forth and finally leads up to a win. Rain had a chance to tie but they missed a long FG
