We don't deserve to be in the top 10. Maybe if we had pulled it off against Half Moon or hadn't gotten crushed by Great Songs, but with those losses I can't say we should be up there.

I do think Half Moon is getting a bit underrated here. We have played 4 teams in the top 10 and Half Moon would certainly hang in there with each of them.

Crushed by Great Songs? LOL. Sounds like an REM cover band.

Power ranking offensive and defensive rankings are fun, but I actually prefer the GLB conference ratings. For example, using my Halos as an example, they are 10th offense and 16 defense in the power rankings, but #2 offense and #2 defense in conference with the GLB ratings.

Please post more rankings. The more the merrier and a different perspective is nice. I usually start the season saying they are just for fun and I try not to be biased. This season made that very difficult with the way the conferences were set up.

Nice job Halo. Enjoy your posts. The Dynamites are in uncharted territory with this heavy-hitter Elite conference. We continue to take small steps in the right direction, albeit with a few black eyes and a bloody nose frequently. The addition into this conference and newer A.I. are making for fun times for coordinators.

Thanks! That's probably the best part of playing in elite leagues is your AI is never safe. Now I think I go overboard sometimes and end up with a crazy AI, but that's part of the fun and challenge of it all.

Why not? there are five one loss or better teams, so they naturally get into the top 10, then you have five 5-2 teams to pick from. Compare what you team has done to the other 5-2 teams. You have two 1 point losses to undefeated teams, and have a crushing defeat of a 4-3 team that Halo believes is a top 10 team. Your only black mark is your ugly loss to Great Songs. So ya, I do believe your team belongs int he lower part of the top 10 list.

These lists are very subjective. So many times you have Team-A beats Team-B who beat Team-C, who in turn beat Team-A. So when I came up with my list, I basically ignored pre-season and un-ranked scrims and focused on the regular season and ranked scrims, especially official tourney ones. If a team lost to a better team, but kept it close, I give them credit, which is why MP2012 made it into my list as a top 10 team, because they played most of the top 10 list and have a lot of close losses and some wins against them.

Other people simply rank based mainly on W-L, some heavily on SoS, some on scrip ranking, and others on perceived success. Plus this early in the season, it's hard to rank teams other than the very top ones.

I will do a eastern conference one going forward. I knew I would have trouble with the imbalanced conferences, and originally planned to do just the east but I wanted to try and include the west as best I could.

I will probably reduce it to top 5 since it will only be the east.

I'll try to do weekly posts, but my main goal here was to point out that the West is NOT as weak as people think. Not denying the East does appear to be the stronger of the two conferences, but the West is not nearly as weak as you are making it out to be.

Ahhhhhh...basking in the EGO of the East...

I for one know that there are good teams in the west. Like I said we have played 3 top 8 teams from the east and several from the west.

I wish you would continue to do overall rankings Halo. Even separate top 5 rankings for the east and west would be great to see if you don't want to mix teams together.
