tbh this is what I like about Casual ... stuff the defense on 3rd down, and you get the ball back.

besides, you can adjust your FG distance to enable this to some extent anyway.

It's not about being more or less casual. it's about common sense of when a team that is losing late in the game should and would go for it. There have been MANY examples of not going for it late int the game and losing is the opposite of good football logic. I don't care how it is fixed. If by the way you say or just fixing the Casual Sim. But it needs to get fixed!

Everybody is whining about going for 4th down......learn to live without it.....thats how i was told to deal with the QB rush exploit....

People want to stop rushing QB's with ease AND go for 4th down need to get out of casual = no more whiners

finally, someone mentioned this.

here's how i envisioned it being implemented (four simple parameters):

__% go for it on 4th down when __ yds or less to go

__% go for it on 4th down when __ yds or less to go

__% go for it on 4th down when down __ pts

__% go for it on 4th down when down __ pts


the reason for the repeats is so that you can set incremental percentages. examples:

30% go for it on 4th down when 5 yds or less to go

90% go for it on 4th down when 1 yds or less to go

50% go for it on 4th down when down 28 pts

100% go for it on 4th down when down 49 pts


.... the default is, of course, to always punt or kick a fg.
