Well, first off, that is absolutely not our normal scheme what-so-ever. It's something completely different that we haven't done against any other team.

That said, aside from that one play in over time (which absolutely has glaring holes... which is why its rarely ever used unless it's against a team that isn't even remotely close, LVL-wise and we can get away with using it), I don't see all these glaring holes people are talking about.

The CPU only had 2 drives in regulation where they actually went down the field and scored points. Every drive was stopped (almost all 3-and-outs) except one that started at the 30 in our own territory... which, come one, they only had to go 30 yards for a TD. Considering the fact that the CPU had 3 or 4 possessions starting in the red zone like thattt, giving up only 1 TD from it IS GOOD D.

So, people say, "Your D AI is terrible and got exposed LOL".... And I say, Really? My whole D A.I. got 'exposed' because the CPU scored 10 points off of 2 drives?

All their other points in regulation came from them getting the ball at the 9, the 30, and like the 20. Haha. C'mon, man.

Hey I'm the first one to say this CPU crap is pretty crazy. That said, I thought it took you by surprise and you didn't gameplan and was saying it would be a good idea to go back through it and patch the holes in your defense the sim showed... Are you telling us you actually changed your defense for a CPU opponent??? I thought you just ignored them altogether seeing they were a CPU team.

Yeah, it's a tad surprising that after that long somebody is confused that this sim fubar'ed in one way or another.

I pretty much assume the Joshua principle is in effect.

Run simulations with all possible outcomes of this game through a supercomputer and it will be like "How about a nice game of chess" when it is done.

I haven't been DC'ing that long, just building players. I've DC'd for4 1/2 seasons now. Only these last two have been consecutive seasons. All my other stints were learning stints where I got signed by a desperate team that just needed a DC. Most of them had absolutely no chance in their league and the teams was sold back in the off-season. I did take my 2nd team to the championship game, but we lost.

Do I have any championships? No, but that doesn't have nearly as much to do with my schemes as much as it does me taking jobs with under-leveled teams who aren't supposed to have a chance. I've done it to learn without the fear of fucking up, TBH. Now, however, I'm pretty confident in what I do.

Here's what I did...

I upped the frequency for all of my extreme blitz plays. They're plays that leave us vulnerable in some areas, but generally work to perfection if the particular O-linemen it's designed to exploit are as weak as I believe they are - or even if the whole team is just completely under-leveled.

I didn't know that the CPUs play to the level of your team. So, I thought we would be able to get away with those plays. If I would have known that the CPUs were not as weak as I thought they are, I would have never even called some of those plays.

We got burned on one and it was the one that ended the game. The CPUs made a few modest first downs on other plays, but I wouldn't say we got burned. Other than that, despite how overaggressive the D played, it completely did it's job.

So, yes, I changed my scheme. But, I changed it so that it takes more risks because I thought the CPUs were going to be weak.

I've made a ton of players. I deleted them and opted to not have their names retired so, if I choose to later, I could remake them. I've built a handful of LBs, 2 SSs, and a HB in total. Now, if they're still supposed to show up in the retired players section even if you opt to not have their names retired, then I have no clue why they no longer exist - nor do I really care. Aside from my HB and my first SS, they all sucked and were terrible builds.

I had a silver trophy. It disappeared. I don't know why and I posted about it in the Bugs thread a few years ago. It was never resolved. The only solution I ever came up with was maybe the owner disbanded the team and staff too early?

As far as the DC'ing goes. I was in college for most of my years in this game. So, I only tried to DC during the semesters I actually had time to devote to it. To be honest, the most I've gotten out of any part of this "game" is the forums. I've always been active on them.
