thanks sunder - honestly wasn't expecting that big of a difference. I just decided to stick with one concept and have been true to it from the beginning. Looks like it's starting to work out. Not sure it would work in a regular league (would love to try it and see).

GG by the way. Even if we could have stopped you, we still weren't able to do anything ourselves so definitely no sour grapes here. I always look at playing you as a challenge, though I do admit real life morale surrounding that task continues to fade.

Hey, grats. At least you didn't get blown out. If I could keep it that close I'd consider it a victory.

Grats, Catch. From my limited experience in Casual, it appears as though you're in a "perfect" situation now. There's three major things that affect winning or losing.

A) Player builds: you hope that they are all at the cap in age, and all built with the team purpose in mind.

B) Player tactics: you hope your agents will always change their player's tactics to match the current game-plan.

C) Scouting/Resulting Gameplan: you hope your scouting will result in a game-plan that is maximized to your team's advantage.

Because as long as you're on the ball, you've got A and B maximized every game. Which means as long as you've not completely blown scouting or left a significant exploitable hole in your game-plan (which your opponent still must have to guess at and be able to exploit), you've got a huge advantage playing any multi-agent team.

Yes, Catch... effectively, you are now an example of the new SSB team.

No, it is actually because his WRs pancake the fuck out of any DB that comes his way. The running QBs aren't even that well built (for obvious reasons), but no one is running out 80+ strength DBs to stop his WRs.

That's pretty spot on actually. That and the dedicated ST unit are the biggest difference makers.

Or... it could be that.

Though really, that does fall into the "Player builds" category insomuch as the WRs and STs are built with Catch's gameplan in mind, which as I say is a serious advantage.

That said, you're right, I suppose someone may be able to find or build just the WRs then sign any old reasonably decent rushing QB and have a similar effect.

But should Catch even line up against such a team, a mirror match-up as it were, there is also that single owner advantage he'd have which I think is significant.

Bah, it's just a damned good gameplan/team build that, as you say joseph, is not likely to be countered.

So, well done, Catch. It was a damn good idea that's proving to be as good as it looked.

Thank you, you guys have a very nice squad. I don't think we can beat the Gamblers but we will give it the old college try.

seahawk, that must have given you hope only being down 14-7 after 1Q. I've had several of those types of games in the past, where we keep it close for a bit, then the wheels come off. And you're all like, "Man, I wish they just destroyed us from the get-go - wouldn't have given me hope. "

Catch - grats, man! It must be a nice feeling seeing your build/game plan working so well.

Also, grats Sunder, that was one epic game - only if most of the games could be like that. Maybe when things get reshuffled next season, that'll be the case. And yeah, it'll be nice to get back to Elite after our one-season hiatus. Oh, and also grats for basically nailing your predictions. I expect were you to give your own team the credit it deserved, you would have called it just like this.

And again, Catch, thanks for setting these up and running them! These tourneys really give us something to enjoy when the season is cruising along like it does.

Cheers, all!

Aron
