Surely neither of them are in business.

I am pretty objective in this discussion as I have both boosting and non-boosting players.

If I'm now going to be lead to believe that my non-boosters will be useless, I certainly will be retiring them and feeding the remaining flex to the boosters.

So there goes about 15 players from leagues, FROM ONE USER. Do you even realize how many people will be like me? Come on, the GLB "braintrust"(using the term loosely because it has "brain" in it) has the common sense enough to see this snowball coming right? So the leagues again will be half full as it was in previous seasons and you are FURTHER pissing off your customers.

The decision makers here are either really stupid or intentionally running this into the ground. Only options. Pick your poison.

-- 20 non boosting teams, 12 empty slots
-- people see a non boosting league and want to play in it since those players don't have to pay to boost, neither should they

People can still play the game if they don't boost, it will just be in a different manner then the dominating the middle levels of the minors game that they are used to.

I totally agree 100% with the concept of this change, but I am absolutely against the structure of it.

So you're telling me if I make 15 players to play on the same team, but make 5 players on day, 5 the next, and so on... and their ages happen to 239-242 in the offseason... They can't play together because of 1 day's age difference?

I think it should be staggered more..

Current World League) - Min Age 321 days - Max Age - Uncapped
(Current Pro Leagues) - Min Age 321 days - Max Age - Uncapped
Leagues - Min Age 261 days - Max Age - Uncapped
Leagues - Min Age 221 days - Max Age - 280 days
Leagues - Min Age 181 days - Max Age - 240 days
Leagues - Min Age 141 days - Max Age - 200 days
Leagues - Min Age 101 days - Max Age 160 days
Leagues - Min Age 61 days - Max Age 120 days
Leagues - Min Age 21 days - Max Age 80 days
Leagues - Min Age 1 day - Max Age 40 days

Etc.

And there is also the great point of non-boosters now having nowhere to go.. I've had players in the 300-500 age range that aren't slow build, they were just inactive or non-boosters and quite frankly aren't even as good as the guys that boosted every year... They're just sort of screwed?

A slow build league would need to be there for these guys or they're going to be left behind. They'd be forced to retire every few seasons.

Tiers within the leagues... yes.

So, to play devils advocate, in the long run, when more tiers exist to advance through, this change shouldn't be as hard on boosters as some people seem to think it will, and teams will be much more likely to face similar teams in both age and effective level, correct?

In other words, before deciding to :ragequit: over what they think this change might result in, they should wait and see what actual results of this change will bring.

You can create players on 5 consecutive days and they can play together.

Create on day 31 - 10 days old at season end
Create on day 32 - 9 days old at season end
Create on day 33 - 8 days old at season end
Create on day 34 - 7 days old at season end
Create on day 35 - 6 days old at season end

All of those players would go into the Min Age 1 Max Age 40 league

Create in the offseason:

Create on day 41 - 0 days old on season rollover
Create on day 42 - 0 days old on season rollover
Create on day 43 - 0 days old on season rollover
etc etc

All of those players would go into the Min Age 0 Max Age 0 league

about 10 seasons too late if you asked me. Letting SSB'ing and non-boosters do their thing for so long severely damaged this game and I believe cost GLB a ton of money. I personally was on multi boosting teams that just threw in the towel in the capped leagues because they didn't want to fight SSB'ers and Non-boosters for a year and half before getting up to the top. I saw at least 150 boosting dots from guys I know (including me) just retired because they didn't want to deal with it.

Great move, and about time.

The thing people are missing here is that even if all the non-boosting teams manage to find themselves in a normal league one season, that means that the winners of that league will basically be wasting the next season in an upper league against way higher level competition.
