it wont fix it. it will just shrink the amount of people who play. alot will live in pee wee leagues, big spenders will have the upper leagues for themselves, and the people who stay playing with limited funds will be on the teams the big pockets beat up on a regular basis.
it will be so lopsided that people will slowly lose interest. eventually the people that support the change will complain that theres no competition and want it changed back.

I've been playing GLB since season two. I started out with just a couple of players, and have carried as many as 18 players. All of them max boosters. I've spent about $650.00 on this game in a little over two years. I'm to the point now that I'm starting to pay less per season, because I'm retiring older players. BUT, I am at a point where I want to cut my spending way back.

I'll probably continue to retire my older guys, but not build any new players for a while. When I get down to 2 or 3 players left, I MIGHT start building again. I doubt it, though. The way it looks, now, GLB is focused more on ways to extract money from people than anything else. By the time I'm ready to build new players I imagine that it will be even more costly, and the game will be too complicated for the casual player who can't, or won't, spend hours and hours at this site every week trying to keep up with the ever changing game.

I loved this game in the beginning....and I still get enjoyment out of it. I also don't begrudge anyone from profitting on their product. It's like anything, though. If you sell really good cookies at a great price, you're going to sell a lot of cookies for a very long time. Once your main priority becomes maximizing profit, though, things start to turn. You begin using cheaper ingredients, and start raising your prices, hoping that you can get away with it because of your prior great reputation. People catch on, though. Soon, you start losing customers, and see that you aren't gaining nearly as many new customers as you used to. Oh, there will be quite a few who come around for a while, just because it's a habit. But even they will eventually turn away. Then your cookie business has no choice but to close it's doors. They may have made quite a bit of cash for that little whille that they decided to maximize profits, but they would have made a ton more if they had just continued to sell the best possible product at a respectable profit.

The cookies used to be GREAT here, and there was a cookie for every price range. Now the cookies are just ok, and the prices are getting too high for a lot of people to be able to afford them.

They've had cookie problems here before ... Dong-gate

I'd really like to see this league restructure idea put to a poll. I personally think it's the worst change they have ever made. But I'd like to see how poll results would turn out.

I'd like the Blazers to make a trade for another All-Star.

I'd like fresh sake delivered to my home daily.

I'd like a bowl of pho 10 minutes ago.

We care, and that's why we are adding an age cap.

fwiw There is no need for the bottom end of the age cap. No teams will play up in age when they do not need to (just get demoted to the correct league). However some teams will need to recruit younger players to fill their rosters.

There is a need, but they have it set way too high so that it doesn't make sense. You don't want teams signing level 1's at the higher age caps, which is why they have a minimum level cap in the current system. Hopefully they'll make a lot of adjustments to this plan, but I doubt it.

Its amazes me how many people keep complaining about the change. Its obvious that something needs to be done. Is this the right solution? I think so but even if you don't I believe that a vast majority at least believes it is a step in the right direction.

The days of teams full of players who don't spend money on this game actually having advantage over players who actually do spend money has to end.

I got a team full of players who boost every season. We lost tonight why? Well its because we went up against a team with a bunch of slow built players who rightfully don't belong in a level 42 cap league. They have an effective level of 54.

We went into this game with a 51 point deficit in average player level and a 5 levels deficit in effective player level.

I wish this change was going into effect next season.
