I was just wondering if anyone would be doing power rankings this season, Im not too familiar with how to do it so i was just curious as if anyone else would be

I installed one today. They've never really done much for me, because any auto-ran rankings aren't going to do anything other than take a record and a team talent and poop out a list. I figure if you're going to bother, might as well put some elbow grease into it.. but who has the time to analyze 32 teams.

Power rankings don't mean anything until at least week 6-7.

Preseason shouldn't even be considered. Although it is always fun to read this kind of stuff.

yeah, i dont hold much weight on these, but love to see them. they are entertaining on boards that are most of the time dead.

Pretty much what everyone said.. they don;'t mean a whole lot.. I mean, I guess the better teams are going to find their way towards the top, but you can't put any significance in the 1st versus 4th team, etc. My understanding is it takes into account the levels of the players with the outcomes and the strength of records.

But if you take preseason seriously and boost and level and run 63 times up the middle, while your opponent hasn't spent a skill point and uses CPU AIs, you're going to look a lot better than you are on that thing.

I'd agree with all this, but there's also player skill taken into affect. But alot of teams still have sp's and tp's and bt's to spend so it really doesn't hold much water. But it does have us all communicating so I'm happy its here
