Unfortunately the major impetus for this suggestion no longer exists since morale isn't nearly as ridiculous as it was when I made the OP.

This looks like it would be better than the current lolmorale system

Indeed. I'm going to come up with some concrete numbers for some of the parameters I mentioned and see what people thing.

Now its the opposite. Morale changes still needed.

In short you are going to to their [GLB's] work for them and they will still not implement it.

It's almost tl;dr but (imo) this is a great suggestion for morale.

everyone's morale would/should go up f they just get rid of this working as intended change and let the builds and game-planning decide the games instead of this debbie downward spiral crap

I don't like the solution in the OP, but morale needs radically adjusted. If I had a search for my past suggestions, I would bring it up, but I can't find it.

I think stamina is tied into morale. If a player gets really tired, his morale will go down. Then you are fatigued and have no heart. That could be a reason for the big swings in momentum.

I like the morale system as it is. In your original post you said that the game outcome should be determined by builds and gameplans. Well, I think that most of us are pretty aware that players with higher confidence are less affected by morale hits like a dropped pass, fumble, missed block, etc. So here is something to take into consideration. If you are building a player and are afraid he is going to take morale hits then build up his confidence instead of leaving it at 50, take it to 60 or higher. This is an easy fix, "Build your players differently."

I like the general principle of this but don't want to give it a yes vote in it's current form.

I think 75 and 25 boundaries for losing and winning are too stringent and don't take into account other factors.

For instance, if you are down by 3 points with the ball inside the other team's 5 yard line with 1;00 minute left and 6 minutes earlier you were down by 13, then your morale should be higher than the team who is ahead. You should be on cloud 9 thinking you are about to steal a game Meanwhile the other team should be down thinking they are about to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think you are correct, and I think that the effects of energy on morale probably need to be reduced.

One thing that probably needs changing still, is the contract bonus .It gets abused. To get a new contract before every important game is ridiculous. Maybe make it once/season ?

In my opinion, morale should be MORE based on how the team does both in the game and on a specific play than how the player does.

For example:
You have a DT plug the hole on an inside run and hit the HB 2 yards behind the LOS but not finish the tackle. The other DT then finishes the HB off because he lost all momentum and the play goes for - 2 yards.

In real football, the first DT would be pumped because he made the key play on a defensive stand. But in GLB (I think, I don't know if this is true but I presume this is how morale works) he would lose morale because he missed the tackle.

...Doesn't make sense

Your example however, does make sense.
