Maybe you should look around the rest of GLB instead of just basing things on such a small sample. Breaking blocks is everything when it comes to the pass rush, especially now that they've addressed most of the exploits that allowed some DEs to be unblocked, along with more or less eliminated the untouched speed rush around the edge. You're right that D-linemen have a lot more useful VAs than O-linemen, but the pass block formula still overwhelmingly favors the blocker. Take away bb% stacks and that's going to swing even more their way. Regardless, it's just downright silly to say that hold block % AEQ has had more of an impact than bb% AEQ, especially considering that bb% has been far more prevalent.

Hardly. Most teams don't have two pq pieces, and if you've looked at quarterbacks before and after adding a first or second piece, you'll probably notice that the difference isn't all that significant. Passing in GLB has much less to do with the QB than it does the receivers and the coverage.
