I set TCTF's QB's vision to 62 and Jack's to throw away often (concerned that their may be too many throw aways)

Both teams are using the same 4 pass plays with the following Override order
Single Back Quick Slant: WR1 TE WR3 HB WR2
Pump N Go I: TE WR1 HB WR2 WR1
5 Wide Deep Post: WR2 WR1 WR3 WR4 WR3
SS Pressure Pro: WR1 TE WR2 HB WR2

I'm still not understanding plays like this...The override is TE WR1 HB WR2 WR1 So, why is the TE getting this pass? I'm sure it's the same lack of understanding I was having last night (QB set to dump often, but this is to the TE, not a back).

Same play...Breaking the override order here is open man, correct?
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1810&pbp_id=390654

Same play, WR1 is skipped why?
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1810&pbp_id=390669

Here, the override order is WR1 TE WR3 HB WR2. The QB has poor vision (62) and is set to dump sometimes. The HB shouldn't be sending an Open Man call and the QB still has a solid pocket on the click he targets the HB. Why break the override order? Play works great, just trying to understand

Same play, but skips the TE for the HB and then goes back to the TE...I'll stop with this one. Hopefully, those are enough to clear my confusion

No matter what the QB setting, should make it so the QB can't throw away on 4th, for obvious reasons

FB pass blocking Bug in SS Pressure

Still too many encroachment penalties.
I'd leave the settings for throw away often about where they are, but make it so there are none for aggressive (that's the purpose of the setting, isn't it?) and split the gap in half for medium

Set up a game with a horrifically bad zone d for TCTF and dropped Jacks' QBs' vision to 49. I tried to make it so that his 1st couple reads on each play were covered, to see how often he passes the Open Man vision check. I guess I tried to make it too bad, broke rules and it mostly defaulted back to a standard zone, but the horribad zone did happen a few times anyway

On TCTF, I set the QB to dump never. So, unless there's an Open Man read, he should follow his Override progressions no matter what (correct?). I also tossed in a few screens, because of a couple users questioning if Override can override the progression (it doesn't and shouldn't or will result in an auto sack). Am I safe in assuming that this doesn't apply to the FB Cross Screen (Weak I) and that you can override that?

Open Man works way too well for QBs with 49 vision.
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1811&pbp_id=390925 (HB WR2 TE were the Overrides first 3 reads)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1811&pbp_id=390942 (HB WR2 TE)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1811&pbp_id=390952
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1811&pbp_id=390955 (FB FB HB)

Suggestions
- Make the vision test significantly hard to pass. I really don't think it should work as consistently as it does, particularly for a 49 vision QB
- The QB is still skipping targets when Open Man is triggered. That should be a 100% auto throw, IMO. He's wide open. If the QB sees it, he has to make that throw immediately.
-Also, it seems like the vision check for Audibles is too easy also and that we should make it harder, to the point that the QB fails more. IMO, they should be very hard to pass at first and get easier the more the D sends similar blitzes

Thanks...I thought you were showing me a bug from this morning already, didn't check the date and bumped it to the top.

I'd guess now that you say me telling Bort the same thing in one of the test reports above.

Pretty much. I'm really glad you're on the case because it's really frustrating in bugs when stuff like that just kinda... die.

Well, it won't be perfect, but I think things are going in the right direction

Horrifically bad zone Ds. Good vision for TCTF QB, 49 for Jacks' QBs. Testing the Open Man vision check to be sure it fails some.

Thoughts
-Open Man read has to be an instant auto throw, even on a low vision QB. It's happening with both QBs. They see it they need to hit it
(1st pull off from HB was a Open Man read, I believe...It breaks the Override Order)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1812&pbp_id=391154
(Both WR3 & HB appear to be Open Man reads, I believe...They break the Override Order)
http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1812&pbp_id=391159

-Open Man reads are failing some now, for both QBs...Seems very reasonable to me
(more than anything, it seems like it has slowed them down on occasion...Does an open WR send multiple Open Man signals? Think it's a good idea if they do)

http://test.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1812&pbp_id=391160

Suggestions
-Make it that when the QB passes the Open Man reads it's an instant auto throw
-Don't know if you caught is last time (no 4ths in this game) but make it so the QB can't throw away on 4th.
-Also from earlier, in case you missed it, I'd leave the settings for throw away often about where they are, but make it so there are none for aggressive (that's the purpose of the setting, isn't it?) and split the gap in half for medium

Test for Audibles. Heavy blitzing, QBs with the same vision as above

Audibles seem to work well now, with some being missed.

This could be just me, but I didn't notice too much of a difference between the good visioned QB and the 49 Vision QB.

There are a few more misses by the poor vision one, buit it just mainly takes longer, IMO
