I am not sure what game you are playing to be honest. Too many times I see a 3 man rush with 8 defenders in coverage, 15 yards away, and the QB could easily run for a first down, but instead he throws long into double coverage. Scrambling QB's don't scramble on pass plays in the current sim, or rather maybe once in 50 play calls. The reason is that the sim has the QB go from receiver to receiver through his progressions, and only thinks about scrambling when there is pressure. If you actually have a "look to run" progression, taking off on a scramble would be a viable option if the QB has a running lane, and one would think he would do it if it was actually part of his progressions. You could set up the plays to encourage your QB to scramble for yards, and that would force defenses to keep a man up to defend the scramble.

I absolutely do not see how you think that hurts scrambling QB's honestly.

Because if I have a scrambling QB (which I do) on the QB run plays, I dont want to have to pass a vision check for him to run the pattern. Maybe the intent is only on pass plays, but on QB run plays, lets keep it to running, no vision check. Now I think about what you were saying, I guess you were saying in pass situations, I was just thinking the AI logic would be in on all indi. plays. But if run plays are exempt, then it's all good. Just dont want no dumb logic for a QB to run in a QB run play. LOL.

Yeah, it would just be for the passing progression system on pass plays. Running plays are something different. Knowing that, think about having the ability to set your progressions to be able to look at a receiver, look for a running lane, look for another receiver, look to run, than look for another receiver and tell me it wouldn't be a hundred times better for scrambling QB's than the current system.

I expect you'll be posting a "+1" shortly.

so...if the ROLB doesnt blitz...and i have my HB set to block him...will he still go out and look for him?

if both the FS and ROLB blitz the weak side and my HB is set to FS but the ROLB hits him first...will he just pass up the ROLB for the FS? to me it just seems better to use a block left, middle, and right option rather than fool around with too many specifics...with the new progressions and scrambling aspect...blitzing will be tough as it is already.

love the idea tho. +1

I would imagine that a vision check would have to be made by the back to choose which player is the biggest threat. Having said that, I am beginning to wear down to the idea of limiting it to directional blocking rather than specific players.
